Pride in something that you achieve on your own power is never wrong. Pride is only wrong when it is associated with something that you did not achieve. Lucifer was proud of being the first of all angels, and god's favorite. He was proud of being created as the most powerful and beautiful angel. This is what led to his fall, because he did nothing to achieve this level. God created him to be as he was. It was partly God's fault. He createde angels to be capable of emotions and free will. He should have know that creating an angel that he considered to be better than all of the others would have led to trouble.
the "pride" of Lucifer should perhaps be thought of as "hubris". in his arrogant pride he sought to replace God as the King of Heaven. Lucifer lost and was cast out.
You can blame God for everything bad that happens if you want to use that kind of logic. And many atheists do use that kind of logic to support their argument that God is "evil." It's a simple-minded argument that appeals to simple-minded people, but many atheists are satisfied with it.
i guess the wingnuts that believe they know it all about lucifer, perhaps are being that HIM in drag; know it alls?
