The Bachmann ship appears to be taking on water at an ever increasing rate.

The one time avid supporter of Bachmann, the incredibly hip Bradlee Dean, is no longer a fan of hers.

Indeed, it looks like he is the antithesis of a fan.

Once an ardent supporter, he has announced on his radio show that she "stinks". Perhaps he had a moment of clarity.

Now I am no fan of Dean. i think he embodies everything that is wrong with religion in this country. But could the latest split drop her even further in the polls?

    http://motherjones.com/mojo/2011/10/michele-bachmann-death-watch-christian-hair-metal-edition

The good news for Michele Bachmann is that she's probably not having as bad of a day as Herman Cain. But that's about it, really. On Saturday, the Minnesota congresswoman sent out an urgent plea to supporters saying that "in order to run a winning campaign we need to raise an additional $50,000 before the end of the month." (That's today.) The latest polls show her at 8 percent in Iowa, a state she needs to win, and just one week earlier, her entire New Hampshire campaign staff quit en masse. Even tea party activists are calling on her to drop out of the race.

And now she has lost the support of one of her longtime allies in her Minnesota district—Bradlee Dean, an anti-gay hair-metal evangelist who Bachmann has raised money for and publicly prayed for. The folks at Dump Bachmann listened to Dean's radio show last week and flagged this nugget, in which Dean rips into Bachmann as just another spineless politician:

I was listening to a radio show, and she was asked a question and she would not answer the question. And it's like you are such a great, upstanding, upright, citizen that you cannot answer the question that was just asked you. She was asked two different times. She kept going to the left. She would not answer the question. And the next thing you know, she starts talking about her presidential campaign - what she was going to do and jobs this and jobs that. That's not what he asked you, lady - just answer the question...

It's like the guy that walks around with an open container of cheese, you know those little string-cheese deals, in his pocket. Everyone's walking around trying to figure out, 'Where's that smell coming from? You stink you stink.' And everyone knows who stinks, they're just trying to figure out why that individual stinks. Well, go look. But that individual's walking around with their nose in their air like they're all that and a bag chips. And she doesn't realize everybody's lookin' at her, like, 'Lady, you stink.'"

Burn. Dean is currently suing Rachel Maddow, MSNBC, and the American Independent News Network for $50 million for reporting on comments he made on his radio show about the morality of executing gay people, and for making fun of the fact that he spells his name "Bradlee" (really).

The second item on the Bachmann Campaign Death Watch this week is a bit more inside baseball. Last week, Minnesota House GOP leader Matt Dean (no relation) publicly endorsed Bachmann. Good news for Bachmann! But there's some subtext: Dean is a resident of the Sixth congressional district, which Bachmann represents, and he has been rumored to have his eye on her seat. Which is to say, he may be endorsing Bachmann at this remarkably counter-cyclical moment because he would like Bachmann to stay in the race as long as possible—if not until the June deadline to file for re-election, then at least long enough to rack up some debt and alienate more people.

That's just the way things are going for Bachmann right now. Even the good news is kind of bad news.

I like what she brings to Washington D.C. and want her voice in the mix for sure. But, I don't see here as President.

Yeah, Yeah. Smart, lovely, articulate brilliant female Attorney, Post Doc at William and Mary in Tax Law, successful member of the United States of America, House of Representatives and Presidental Candidate. Raised 5 biological children and helped raise 23 foster children. Michele is what the Suffragettes organized, walked, marched and went to jail for to free woman. Whats a gal gotta do for praise except hide behind a veil? :-D:-D:-D

I hate to see Bachmann go. She is my favorite ********** lunatic. She stands head and shoulders above all the other freaks in the GOP nominating process.

But she is so dissociated from reality (even more than most **********s and conservatives) that I don't think she will drop out. She and her spine of titanium will oblivious sail onward, much like Bush did with his tax cuts and Iraq.

Oh My, does this mean that Sarah is no longer at the top of the list? HAHA.
Yep, Michele and her Titanium spine will be sailing right to the White House with the help of the Tea Partiers who brought VICTORY to the Repubs on 11/02/10.

Correct. She has accomplished some good things during her run, but she's only hurting the conservative effort by staying in. She now comes off as desperate..IMO.

I figured the departure of Ed Rollins was more "darning" to Bachmann's campaign.

When he left her as campaign manager after not being able to simply state that he wants to see her president, it was pretty much over.

He should have been her number one advocate and was hired specifically for his expertise, but the guy is just so honest that he could not voice support for the nitwit. I applaud Rollins on putting his personal integrity above his professional integrity.

Ed said "I am old. I can't do what I once did". That is why he took a lesser role. He constantly says on the Telly, "I love her". Ah, you guys are so envious of the gals. :bored::bored::bored:

Her remarks about oil revenue demonstrate her total and complete ignorance of the oil business and Libya..

She should have kept her mouth shut and not shown everyone how stupid and unprepared she was.

    True.

Everyone knows Obama only got rid of Kadaffi because it was time for even more radical Muslims to take over the country.

LOLOL.. Regime change is not part of the Obama Doctrine.. He's NOT that stupid.

If the people hadn't rebelled to oust Khadafi .. it would be business as usual with Libya collecting oil revenues from the seven operating oil companies.

He regime changed Mubarak and Kadaffi.

Time will tell, but if even more radical Muslims take their place I'm going question Obama's judgement.

    Won't you?

No he didn't.. LOLOL.. Or do you think Obama had some unspoken magic control of the Arab Street?

Look at Bachman.. the dolt thinks Libyan oil revenues were going to the US....

I think Obama pushed Mubarak to step down when the US should have taken a hands off policy to the situation.

And in Libya you cannot deny that the daily bombing of NATO was the reason Kadaffi lost power.

You might want to look at a time line.. Mid February Khadafi was saying that he would have rivers of blood.. NATO didn't enter the picture until several weeks later.

If you recall.. Republicans were saying that Obama didn't react quickly enough to the civilian deaths by Khadafi's mercenaries.

I see the left is still out of school at recess Margot.

Look, since the U.S. (along with Europe) actually bought crude oil from goofy Qaddafi's Libya, Obammy's little unconstitutional war there, was, as the left falsely alleged about Iraq, much more likely about the OIL than Iraq ever was.

But we'd have to actually dwell in the realm of FACT, rather than liberal pipe dreams and political propaganda smear candyland, to know that one though now wouldn't we Margot.

Gee imagine that folks, liberals flat out lying, claiming the war in Iraq was all about the Oil, even though the U.S. at the time didn't get a drop of crude from Saddam's Iraq.

Now doing a complete 180 claiming that Obammy's clearly unconstitutional and illegal war in Libya, which the U.S. does/did buy some oil from, is not about the oil.

Not only does this show yet again, just how traitorous the modern liberal left is.

But it yet again demonstrates how willing the left is, to blatantly lie as well, particularly if these libs think it will benefit them and their socialism, errr I mean "modern progressiveness" politically.

The war in Iraq wasn't about oil either.. only the dual citizens in Bush's administration claimed that the Iraq oil would pay for their war..

That was idiocy .. Iraq oil production has never recovered to prewar levels or even to levels during the sanction years.

Libya SELLS oil.. Oil revenues account for 95% of their economy.

Dutch Shell, BP, Hess, Marathon, TOTAL, ENI, Occidental Petroleum, and Conoco Phillips ALL have lucrative operations in Libya.

Libya only produces 1.6 million barrels a day and 1/3 of that is used domestically.

Bascially those who claim Libya was about oil or regime change are IGNORANT of the facts and FOS..

    That includes that nitwit Bachman.
