Pedophilia and rape share more in common though, in both cases it's not really about being attracted to another person but about reducing a person to an object by seeking power control and to act without consent.

The restriction against both comes down to preventing harm. A restriction that doesn't make sense in a consensual sexual relationship, regardless of the sex of the couple.

We keep running into this obsolete data problem in this thread. The latest research based on the Human Genome Project shows that "sexual orientation" is less than 1% caused by genes. The other 99% is environmental.

These claims you're making here are essentially unfounded.

In any case, whatever causes/affects a person's sexual-orientation, has no bearing upon their rights as a human being.

On the practical level, when you show me a LARGE group of heterosexuals that CHOSE to be 'straight" (and can prove that they did it), I'll agree that we have seen significant evidence that human beings do choose their sexual-orientation. Until then, it is just your opinion, waiting to be refuted or qualified by scientific data.

 

I'm still waiting on the info that shows sexual orientation as 99% environment. Val, if you have this information, prove it.

Right now there's so many SEO manipulations going on around this subject that it's not showing up on the first page of search results like it did the first time I found it.

I don't believe that is the case for most people. Some sure ACDC decide to go homo because it's easier to relate to the same sex then it is to get along with the opposite. But I think most have a desire that drives them to be homo. ie are born that way. And in that case it's genetic. And anything genetic can possibly be someday altered or at least detected.
