And I guess you are not demonstrating exactly that "sociopathic" tendency to ALWAYS blame one man: President Obama?

since you seem so familiar with the DSMIV, you surely know about "projection?":rolleyes:

LOL, to be fair, that's not a fault confined to American school kids. I'm pretty lazy myself, and I remember being told by one of my teachers that if I put as much intellectual effort into school work, as I do into getting out of doing stuff, I would be Dux by the end of the year. :-D

Surely you know about "denial?" Refusing the blame the man in charge is classic denial.

We get it... Obama believes American kids are fat, dumb & lazy and the sheeple agree with him. He also thinks throwing more money at teachers will fix the problem.

Do you know what "delusional" means?

What did you hate most about the Bush years? 4.5% unemployment, $600 tax rebate checks, $4 prescriptions or $1.62/gal gasoline?

Nobody claims Bush did anything to improve the American educational system... but he certainly didn't stand on an ivory tower in another country and bad-mouth our kids. It's funny that yOu people condone that type of unprofessional behavior by the POTUS. Obama is certainly above reproach in your mind, isn't he?

In three years his policies kept the recession he inherited mild and then set off 52 months of full employment, growing revenues and declining deficits in 2005, 2006 and 2007.

    What do you object to?

You people? Holly crap Batman, in this very thread I am accused of stereotyping....and you blame an entire swath of people in two words and then resort to name calling.

And again we see a case of responding without even checking the facts. If you have been paying attention I have indeed laid blame on Bush where it was due. But in your and your colleagues minds the fact Bush screwed up somehow excuses Owebama!

    Nice

    Now you're just trolling....

I guess if you're not going to inform yourself there isn't much anyone can do.

Harry y S. Truman coined the phrase "The buck stops here". The chief executive is always the one responsible. I guess we could start nit picking Owebama's cabinet and advisors, but then he's the one who chose them and is listening to them.

I am no expert on DSMIV, but I do know it's kind of outre to diagnose someone based on one comment.....

I'll agree that it is a bi-partisan issue in the sense that neither the Republicans or Democrats have made a real effort to dissovle the Federal Department of Education.

Obama is a (*)(*)(*)(*)ing stupid ass who is trying to exacerbate the problem by establishing more, not less federal control over our educational system.

Yes, and I also know what 'fat' means. Your American kids are fat, 17% of them. http://www.cdc.gov/obesity/data/trends.html

You might also want to check out some stats on education.

I guess you forgot the most important people in this equation-the parents. How many teachers were caught sleeping out of the total in America?

100% of our children need to read. 17% need to lose weight. You do the math.

    Forget Obama for a minute..

US companies are complaining ... The brightest and best foreign students in the world come to the US for university and graduate school.. As soon as the complete their education, their visas expire and they return to their home countries where they create new companies and create 2,000 new jobs.

Time to focus on the realities instead of making cheap cracks about the President and his wife.

How can we forget Obama for a minute... isn't he the POTUS? Why isn't he revamping the Dept of Education to raise the bar for our students?

Wait... I know why. Because it's easier to blame teachers' pay for poor performance. Actually trying to solve the problem wouldn't garner him any votes so he'd rather just whine about it.

And BTW, many if not most of those brightest and best foreign students stay in this country after graduation. When's the last time you saw an American-born doctor? Met an American-born engineer? Not saying there aren't any... but I am saying they are few and far between compared to the number of foreigners.

Why don't the Obama's consider this a priority?

Obama hates american kids. Thats why he did away with the DC voucher program.

Part of me believes he did away with it so that kids that live in the ghetto's of DC won't be able to attend private schools with his daughters.

I can't think of any Americans he hasn't insulted. He's even insulted blacks. He doesn't like us, folks, and he feels as separate from Americans as he does from "those in Washington."
