Woah, Woogs, you found a video about this! I've been posting about Newt's third wave ramblings. Thread on it here:

Do you think it gives us an answer to the previous query, as how Americans could be so stupid as to stand back and watch their liberty eroded?

By those that claim to be protecting it..

Very true. I also think there a quiet a few people out there that have never gone against the law or had something they enjoy made illegal. They live in this weird utopia where the law is equal to morality and to violate it, not matter what, makes you a bad person. Certainly I see that behavior here with some posters when people question the government. It's like you're destroying their god if you show the government wrong. The worst part is that you're right; the people who seem to be likely to object to freedom are the very people who say they endorse it. Not on all issues mind you (repeal of the CRA, allowing smoking in bars again, and other issues it's the left that gangbangs you) however I find more opposition from the right than the left on most issues. That or maybe it's just easier to accept that the leftists are totally down with telling you that you should not be allowed to do something because they are very honest with their want of government control.

Yeah, I've been railing about him, too. The thing is, Gingrich isn't the disease....he's only a symptom. Though he's a boil on the ass of America, if it wasn't him, it would be someone else. Our real affliction is complacency, ignorance and blind trust.

Do we have a doctor in the house? Oh, yeah...I think we do!!

    I've noticed.

Funnily enough, this engineered idea that if you criticise US foreign policy, you 'must hate America', is almost identical to that age old brew of any criticism of Israel being met with 'you must hate Jews'.

    Yeah.

    Must just be another coincidence.

What does it matter when you have no say in determining the definition? After this bill is signed, if the president determines you are a terrorist under any definition then your terrorist. What are you going to do about it?

    Call a lawyer?

Most people do not need to concern themselves with being falsely accused of murder and having to defend themselves in court.

Just like most people do not need to concern themselves with being labeled a terrorist by the president and not having any say in it.

So I guess most people just do not care enough to fight the dirty thieves who are taking our liberties away. Its not like most people have to deal with it right now.

As to the rest....I pitty the folks who anger the president now and in the future.

I'm actually am a terrorist. Many a fish and squid screams with terror at the very mention of my name.

Actually I don't think that the country will ever get to the point that it starts labeling regular Americans as terrorists. As many have said, it's fairly clear that the rules we have in place are only for members of Al Qaeda.

    Never happened before, eh?

Yeah, sure, whatever... is the government paying you people to make these claims or do you just feel it is your "patriotic" duty to the government to always trust it and defend it?

No rebellion, no invasion, no suspension of habeas corpus by congress allowed, pure and simple. And the president never has the authority to do it under any circumstances. The fifth and sixth amendments haven't been repealed either.

"War" does not trump the Constitution.

Innocent people have already been labelled as terrorists by the United States government. There is a reason why many of those in Gitmo are yet to be charged with a crime.

    Yes.

But you are thinking like a level headed human being.

Instead, you must try to think like a freak.

It makes more sense when you think like a freak.

    Let's try it;

The 'people' in Gitmo are TERRORISTS. Or potential terrorists. We KNOW this to be fact, because the State told us. And the State never lie.

Moreover they are 'brown'. Therefore, much less important.

And if that isn't enough - they actually don't exist, yes, that is right, there are no 'people', and there is no Gitmo.

    Jew hater.

See how it all makes more sense when you write like a freak and a lunatic?

    :)

Took me three seconds to find this.. Now considering right here on this forum there is a post of yours stating that if drugs became legal you would blow up buildings.

That makes you a possible Terrorist. Under this law off you go. You have no right to a trial to prove you are not part of AQ. The government says you are. Period. Off you go. Now considering in the last admin we had a complete tyrant as a VP do you really want the Government to have this power? Obama *might* not use it but the next guy might.

Now Joe Lieberman is asking Google for a "Terrorist flagging button". Do you get it yet? Enough people hit that button off you go. No defense. No trial.

DHS is running these "See something, say something" ads, flat out fear mongering. Waltky's granny might see you with a brown man, or with a laptop and call up the authorities to tell them she saw terrorists making plans.

The way that this could be abused and how it is absolutely un-American is plain to see.

hahaha. I wouldn't dare make threats on the internet or talk about doing anything unlawful these days. I don't plan on doing it in real life either. Even joking on the internet or saying something tongue in cheek can get you in big trouble here in America, land of the cowards.

It is going to change Woogs. Gingrich is being vetted, slowly but surely as yet another progressive. TEA Partiers are starting to get past the phase of anyone but Obama, and will dump off Gingrich over the next few weeks, as will many other conservatives once they see him, past the anybody but Obama mindset.

Ron Paul has to start playing to the independants with the message that Gingrich is Obama, The Sequel. This is now Rons to win, if he can "bend" just a bit on his foriegn policy.

Manufactured fear is exhausting and anger at such is invigorating. Maybe they should keep an eye on me. ;-)

The definitions of what constitutes terrorism and what constitutes "support" are so broad that merely writing "I think we would be better off without Congress" is enough to land you in secret detention for life with no possibility of release.

I think with the passing of the National Defense Authorization Act it's finally dawning on Americans that it's easier to be vigilant over a passive and liberty supporting government than correct a tyrannical one.

Now people will begin to acquire a greater appreciation for what our Founding Fathers braved in the British Empire at the height of its power.
