For all those who believe the likes of Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, James Madison, and George Washington represent the epitome of Great Leaders, Great Statesmen, and Great Americans......and vy for the chance to vote and elect one as President today........Ron Paul is your chance. For if there was one person in Washington DC today, who can be said to share the same Ideology and Constitutional views as those of Washington, Madison, Jefferson, and Franklin..........that person is Ron Paul.

A great many of us will spend a lifetime giving nothing but praise and compliments to our Founding Fathers.......and that is just and deserved. But Im amazed at how many of my countrymen.......give such disregard and disrespect to the present day version of our Founders.......Ron Paul. And while your free to disagree with the political and constitutional beliefs of Ron and The Founders...... dont go around singing the praises of one, while calling the other a kook.

For it is to Republican dismay......the Founding Fathers never intended the US Military to have 900 bases in 130 countries around the world......for that is anything but a "Limited Government." Nor was it the Founding Father's intent to send a bunch of "other people's" husbands, sons, children to go die defending a bunch of limp wristed Socialists or ungrateful Middle Eastern Liberal Muzcums......and justify it as "Defending the United States".

And it's to Democrat dismay......the Founding Fathers stand against virtually everything you stand for. They created the Constitution to prevent the very bloated all controlling centralized Liberal Nanny Statist Government we have today. The Founders risked life and limb to remove a British Tyrant 200 years ago......just as Ron Paul is trying to remove The Kenyan Tyrant you elected.

It is said that if the Founders were to return today and run for office.......they would be run out of town with torches and pitchforks. The treatment of Ron Paul today is evident of the truth of those words.

My fellow Americans, the time has come to vote for Ron Paul........or put down the Founder's pom poms.

Ron Paul is one of the few that want to follow the Constitution. We need more like him.

No thanks. Even Ron Paul has a couple stances that I find (and are) unconstitutional. I will stick with third parties.

    DOMA-

    http://www.ontheissues.org/Ron_Paul.htm

Ron Paul obviously thinks that DOMA is not unconstitutional, when it clearly is. It is an unconstitutional nullification of the full faith and credit clause, and an infringment upon the reserved power of marriage requirements.

    Abortion-

    http://www.govtrack.us/congress/billtext.xpd?bill=h112-1096

The Sanctity of Life Act that Ron Paul supports is unconstitutional. Defining life, and providing services for matters of birth is a reserved power. The Sanctity of Life Act intends to define life on a federal level, and seeks to prevent the federal court system from ruling in favor of abortion, but doesn't prevent the courts from ruling in favor of life (or a pro-life stance). The only way for such legislation to be constitutional would be to prevent the federal court system from ruling on all matters of life and birth.

Yet Paul is running on the Republican platform. Furthermore, when he did run as a libertarian in 1988, the liberal wing of his party contended the same issues I am referring to.

I have other objectons, but they are not due to the Constitutionality of Paul's stances. I disagree with his tax policy, foreign policy (although there are aspects that I do agree with), monetary policy (there are aspects I agree with), spending cuts (he doesn't go far enough, although I have yet to see a long-term proposal from him), etc. Many of my objectives are honest disagreements in specific ideas, not necessarily principle.

There are probably some disagreements between me and the founders, but I also probably can agree with the founders on a plethora of issues.

I will not be voting for him because my approaches to a variety of issues are different from his. I will be voting on the Americans Elect platform.

The idea that one must be in complete agreement with Ron Paul in order to be in agreement with the founding fathers is ludicrous. I am sure a couple of the founding fathers would contend some of Paul's stances.

Furthermore, the idea that one must be in agreement to a large extent with the founders to be a credible leader is ludicrous. One can uphold the Constitution and fundamentally disagree with the founders.

Lastly my ideology, while highly libertarian, manifested from liberalism. I originally considered myself a liberal. Now, I consider myself a libertarian-leaning centrist. I cannot support a candidate whose ideology manifests from conservatism.

.....and how many different races will have a candidate from the Americans Elect platform?

They had disagreements on the fringes.........but it was the fundamental principles of Freedom, Liberty, and a Limited Government that brought them together. Ron Paul espouses those same fundamental principles....

......not without disagreeing with The Constitution. You cant uphold the Constitution if you dont agree with the fundamental principles put forth by the Founders via The Constitution.

Not yet.......because Liberals learn--Conservatives earn........once you start partaking in the latter......everything will become clear.

Possibly, Badmutha. I have already started to earn in the working world. However, as an aspiring political mind that intends to transcend partisanship, I would rather take aspects from each political ideology to create a unique approach that appeals to the greatest number of constituents, ideologies, and solutions. Why do you think my signature includes the title "The New Age Politician?"

The goal of my approach is to create policy within the following parameters:

    1. The ideals and provisions of the Constitution.
    2. The fundamental values of political culture that every Americans can agree on.
    3. Innovative, pragmatic, and realistic policy.
    4. To appeal to every political ideology, whether you are a hardcore progressive or a hardcore conservative.

Ron Paul represents a mythological understanding of the founding fathers.

The Presidential race will have an Americans Elect platform. I am in favor of their goals from an electoral perspective. They are seeking to put forth a centrist, bipartisan platform, which I find highly innovative and right for the course.

By the way, I am sure George Washington would look at Americans Elect as a move in the right direction. After all, he warned about the dangers of political parties in his farewell address. Lastly, just for the record, Ron Paul is at the top of the list for the Americans Elect platform.
