Uh huh, oh the faux outrage.

These things come in handy in all kinds of ways. The base gets defensive and strengthens it's support of the Obamas.
The right gets tricked into looking the other way, and meanwhile, the admin gets a reprieve from the pressure that counts:

*Having usurped the Constitution yet again with the Cordray appointment, the massive new nest of bureaucrats, and the coming mortgage grab to garner votes and expand the reach of govt-

*Looming gas prices as world markets react to tension in the Strait of Hormuz, exacerbated by the reminder that US oil if off limits along with the jobs it brings-

*Solyndra, Fast and Furious, lies about border security, a detached and apathetic CIC, and all myriad of failure by this admin_

*Continuing to LIE about the state of jobs and unemployment-

*A chaotic and flawed withdrawal from Iraq and gutting the Military, adding to unemployment-

This list of FAIL is longer than space permits, but suffice to say, the masses may be diverted from the most singular issue, but I am not:

Getting this divisive and harmful president OUT.

The Constitution authorizes the President to make recess appointments. It says nothing about allowing Congress to circumvent this Constitutional power of the Office of President by holding pro-forma sessions during a Congressional recess.

You aren't the least bit curious as to why the Republicans aren't mounting a legal challenge? Could it be because they know that they don't have a precedent to stand on?

    http://www.chron.com/business/article/U-S-exporting-fuel-but-U-S-drivers-still-paying-2341390.php

U.S. exporting fuel but U.S. drivers still paying more

Faced with sluggish sales at home, American refineries are shipping their gasoline, diesel and other petroleum products abroad in record amounts, turning the country into a net exporter of fuel.

And that's one of the reasons why gasoline now costs more than ever before, for this time of year.

The United States, long the world's most voracious consumer of fuel, still imports almost half of its crude oil, the raw material for gasoline and diesel. But starting in 2008, the country began exporting more refined petroleum products than it imported. And the gap keeps growing.
*Solyndra, Fast and Furious, lies about border security, a detached and apathetic CIC, and all myriad of failure by this admin_

Lol, even the most jaded politico sees economic improvement even though it may be a bit tepid. The President doesn't lie about the state of jobs and unemployment, the government uses set statistics and formulas to determine these. Add to that the non-government reports that show the same thing and you have a right-wing that is hell-bent on making people think that things aren't getting better.

Based on recent polls, it looks like the right-wing's election agenda of squash the economy isn't going to go well for them at all...

    What was chaotic and flawed?

How is the military being gutted? So far, the only "cuts" proposed have been reductions in personnel to something closer to their pre-war levels and a reduction in the GROWTH of the ridiculously bloated military budget.

The Pentagon received a double-digit INCREASE to its budget even as Congress was scrambling to get an agreement to raise the debt ceiling to pay for the checks that Congress has already written.

2012 is NOT going to be a good year for the right-wing. Expect more frustration as the economy, barring a major incident, will shake off some of its lethargy and the Republicans will continue to allow themselves to be outmaneuvered. They are so predictable that it's going to hurt them in a big way in the upcoming months.

Yeas, it appears it was a party for military families that folks are going ballistic over. Why? I would venture to say that attacking things like this are easier than dissecting actual events and policies.

I love how Todd shuts down another horribly-written post in the first reply.

These insults, these embarrassments, to conservatism must be banished from society! Worse than any liberal is a fake conservative who poisons the ideology's well!

If it was no big deal, the WH should've ignored the reports.

Since they've also responded to the "Obama was transported to Mars" story, appears they're just as desperate as the 'bots on this forum. Anything to divert attention from the Obama administration dismal performance.

I love how desperate he is. See how he carves every post into tiny little pieces? Less scary than looking at his Obamessiah's dismal performance altogether.

He breaks it down for the simple-minded out of what I can assume is his own kindness— whether he knows how humiliating it is to the original author, that is unknown; maybe he carries some sinister plot.

He cites a business article and the Constitution, things I love and stand by.

Liberals like him are dangerous, indeed, but the author is just another screaming for more spending. I cannot allow such idiocy to be spread! Get people off the government payroll! That includes soldiers!

You are correct to a point.

Please link to the vacancy in question "happening during" the recess?

I have already addressed that matter specifically, here.
I don't know what's worse with your post above: it's ignorance or it's hypocrisy. Depends on the info in the link - do you know those details or just don't care?
Obama, the lazy (*)(*)(*)(*), neglected to negotiate with the PM of Iraq to retain peacekeeping forces, therefore they would have been automatically subject to Iraqi law. Because of that, he had to withdraw ALL troops by Dec 31., leaving Iraqi authorities unprepared for lack of a proper transition. The results are now in the news - a drastic upswing in violence and bombings. Surely you know this??? Way ta go, wasting all the lives sacrifices to help the Iraqi people.
The cutbacks are automatic and severe. Do your own homework. I'm not here to lead you through an education in the budget and new military policy.
You so sure of that? I don't think Barky is in for an ass-whoopin' in NOvember.
    We'll see, won't we?

I don't like Obama either but even I have to side with the libs on this post. If your going to trash Obama there are plenty of legitimate issues to talk about without referring to a stupid party or the recess appointments which were clearly being blocked by the republicans.

Lol. Pure desperation and intellectual dishonesty. If the Republicans don't like the current interpretation of "The President shall have Power to fill up all Vacancies that may happen during the Recess of the Senate, by granting Commissions which shall expire at the End of their next Session",then why don't they legally oppose it?

Is President Obama the first President to make a recess appointment for a position that wasn't vacated during a Senate recess?

Liberal hypocrisy and it's penchant to defend the indefensible - never ceases to amaze me.

Mr. Obama can have all the parties he wants, and the press and the morons can grouse it up, but it won't cover up or defer from the real scandals - usurping Congress and the Constitution, and abusing the office which he'll hold for one more year.

What is indefensible here? The party was never a secret, and it was for military families.

It seems the outrage here is wholly manufactured.

As for the other alleged scandals, there are a plethora of threads about them. No one is covering up anything.

This list of LIES is why right-wingers are considered irresponsible guttersnipes.
They lack any sense of honesty and proportion in their comments.

You got the right word there Smarty. It is severely desperate to respond with a detailed rehash of all the issues when the thread is obviously having some fun at Owebama's expense.

And what is with this White House? Some very thin skin.....I mean is there nothing to trivial for them to deny?

One of the keys to leadership is to rise above the gutter, something Owebama has never been able to do. Remember what they did on the Gabby Giffords shooting a year ago....tried to blame it on "Right wing rhetoric" and had to back off when it was revealed the Democrats use more 'kill or be killed" references than the Republicans.

    Sad, truly sad.

Sorry, but I don't see the link anywhere.

I guess there isn't one and the "intellectual dishonesty" is a self description then?

Look, you are obviously not on track with the gist of this thread.
What is indefensible is NOT the party, but the practices and performance of this admin.

Keep up, or don't bother me about it. Thanks.

I think they're just trying to save Cons the trouble of starting all those new groups based on the Birthers - like The Martians, The Partiers, The Sun Dressers and so forth.

But you all should definitely keep investigating these strange events and I'm sure Rush will have all the latest information about these covert intrigues before you know it.
