My 14-year-old (the one in Chinese immersion) just got back from a week in Shanghai. Was a bit nerve-wracking to have her so far away, especially the part where she flew over the Arctic Circle, Russia and North Korea. My oldest is considering college in Vancouver -- 1400 miles away.
