In this case it just means that Barack Obama was Affirmative Actioned into a Peter Principle type of academic sinecure position which he seriously flubbed. Didn't ANY of his supporters bother to do any meaningful vetting of the fellow? At the end NOBODY would take any of Professor Obama's classes because instead of being about Constitutional Law they were actually about Black Studies.

As noted, anyone who bothered to vet Obama would have had a pretty good idea as to what sort of president he would turn out to be; and let's face facts, if Barack had not been the nation's first Black president then he would have ended up being impeached a half dozen times over during the last eight years. Trump in comparison is a bit more of a wild card since he has got no political or RADICAL history whatsoever. He never did business -- that anyone knows of -- in a former domestic terrorist's living room. He never attended a church wherein the pastor became famous for bellowing "*******N America" He's never been responsible for the necessity of creating the world's first beer summit because he's a freaking racist, and so forth and so on. Obama WAS a known. Trump is an unknown.

 

First of all, Impeachment takes a very long time, and you need the vote(s) of congress too approve.
Second of all, Republicans control congress, and their not about to give up that much power.

Our country is in dyer straights, and having another Clinton in office would only push us over the edge into turmoil, if we're not already on the blink; had it not have been for Trump winning.

 

VP Agnew was impeached for crimes committed before office. When Trump goes on trial Nov 28 to stand witness in the Trump U. fraud case against him, it won't look good.

Some facts to consider:

1. In reality, Congress can impeach a president for anything. Clinton was impeached for stupid BS.

2. Most of the GOP leadership hates and fears Trump. They'll look for ANY reason to oust him.

3. It's disgraceful to have a president-elect stand trial for fraud. He has no way out of this situation that'll look good politically; standing trial looks bad, obviously, and paying the accusers is an implicit admission of guilt in the eyes of the American public. This is why Trump's lawyers have been trying to get the court thing postponed until after the Inaguration. (Oh, and the judge is the Mexican American whom Trump disparaged.)

 

People who seriously flubbed law school don't graduate magna cum laude.

Actually, word is his classes were very popular and students gave him high marks. I hope he returns to the profession.

This is exactly why I don't discount Prof. Lichtman's gut feeling, because conservatives will make up whatever excuse they want when it comes to impeaching a president. Sorry to disappoint you, but Obama hasn't even had one scandal, much less anything resembling High Crimes and Misdemeanors.

 

VP Spiro Agnew was not impeached. Like his president, he resigned.

 

As it is I think there is an understanding between them. As long as that stands I don't see impeachment in the future. If Trumps ego gets away with him though, or if it becomes glaringly obvious he has no real control and he freaks out, maybe.

Can he get impeached? Sure, seems like a basic function of congress this last couple of decades.

To be historically correct...Allan Lichtman is a liar and predicted that the crooked Hillary would win.

What Lichtman got right was that it was the failure of the community organize, Presidernt Barack Obama who put Trump into the White House.
