‘Project K’

WikiLeaks has announced a press conference scheduled for April 8, generating speculation about a possible release of a new stash of classified material or a project somehow connected to Assange’s political party in Australia.

The group announced the new “Special Project K” on Twitter and installed a countdown to the event planned to be held in the National Press Club in Washington on 8 April.

No other details have been given about the upcoming media occasion. The Press Club’s website doesn’t give any information about the event.

It is also unclear who will give the press conference, as Assange is still sitting firmly in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London.

Last week, the Ecuadorian government held talks with the British Labour party to try to strike a deal to send Assange to Sweden to end the political impasse, which has seen the Australian whistleblower holed up in the Ecuadorian embassy since claiming asylum in June last year.

But until Assange is released, possible candidates could include Kristinn Hrafnsson, Icelandic investigative journalist or maybe WikiLeaks activist Jacob Appelbaum, who has represented the organization in the past.

It is speculated that “Project K” may be linked to Assange’s Australian party which he launched last month, as it needs to gather 500 members before it can officially register with the Australian Electoral Commission ahead of September’s election.

Or that the press conference could announce a new release of classified materials exposing government secrets worldwide.

First off all, it is almost the stuff of Monty Python that Assange has been in the Ecuadorian embassy, for what will be a year come June.

And please, spare me the 'rape' guff, I have read the case, such as it is.

Here is something to think about though.

From memory, there were around 3500 cables, and around 2500 of those were about Israel specifically, yet only 2% of that 2500 ever reached the public domain, one of which was 'Israel A Promised Land For Organised Crime'.

What did it consist of again, some archaic 'rule' in which he did not wear a durex during compliant sex, and failed to ring the person again.

I feel that by that measure, we should all be holed up in the Ecudorian embassy.



Nice to see that the British elites are playing their part though, almost a year they have been using our money, in their games.

 

Yes and evidence was tampered with. The way that the liberal elites in the media have collectively rallied against Assange says everything we need to know about the true nature of our ideologically driven media. They've branded an innocent man, who has not been charged (as is often wrongly assumed) with the crime of rape, let alone been tried or convicted, is scandalous if not predictable given the circumstances. The intention was always to have him extradited to Sweden on trumped up charges with the precursor to having him flown out to the US where he would be banged up Bradley Manning style.

 

We should, as people, as be heralding and defending these men, not doing the work of the scumbag shotcallers, and acting like villagers in a Frankenstein film.
