This is a good news. Ukrainians do not want war. It was a very unfortunate situation they got in due to unwise decisions made in USA and EU.

May I wake you up to the current date of Feb. 9th, 2015? That is 15 (Fifteen!) days closer to reality. 15 days can make a hell of a difference on the front of an ongoing war.
    But keep dreaming.

9th of February, 2015. Donetsk People's Republic, Novorossiya.

The DPR Defense Ministry has offered the Ukrainian soldiers, which are encircled in Debaltsevo, to surrender to the armed forces of Novorossiya, the DPR Defense Ministry spokesman Eduard Basurin told a briefing at the Donetsk News Agency press center today.
“Concerning the Debaltsevo cauldron, the best thing for us is surrender of Ukrainian soldiers. We offer them to lay down arms and go in our direction. We guarantee their safety. Otherwise, they will suffer huge losses,” – he stressed.
Losses of the Ukrainian army over the past 24 hours: 1 tank, 2 cars, 93 killed.

The stupidity of using Ukraine as a Proxy State has not only ruined relations with Moscow, but the Ukrainians themselves will find it be less likely to get a deal as good as the one the Democratically-elected President got for them. Now Moscow will drive a hard bargain with the Ukrainians when the conflict ends.

The EU will not be able to assimilate Ukraine, if there's any damage to the Oil supply then kiss that valuable goodbye. Everyone lost due to arrogance, greed and a lack of understanding of what was at stake.

Jazz at the beginning of the war, I recall reading accounts that the death toll among Ukrainian soldiers were in the tens of thousands, even to the point where a Catholic priest said that Poroshenko was committing genocide on the Catholics because of the large amount of Galicians that were being conscripted and killed. It seems they were the only ones that could be trusted at the time, since so many troops were deserting and going over to the rebel side to eat.

Well according to the German newspaper 'Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung', the number of troops as well as civilians killed might be up to fifty thousand...something that Poroshenko tries to keep well hidden from the Ukrainian people with his propaganda network. It's not working though, the word has been getting around and tens of thousands of young men have gone to Russia to escape conscription. This doesn't include those that escaped to Hungary and Romania, and the ones hiding in the wilderness.

According to Lavrov at the meeting at Munich, the majority of men being conscripted are not ethnic Ukrainians...which might account as to why so many of the conscripts were being deserted at the front, and used as cannon fodder. Poroshenko in order to keep up the genocide and purify Ukraine, has given orders that any man that tries to retreat and escape must be shot. He has even established a special group that remains behind to make sure that no soldier gets away.

Whenever the situation becomes serious the officers all leave while the men are forced to remain and fight without orders and instructions on what to do. With the exception of the National Guard which comes afterwards to harass and kill civilians, the conscripts are not aware that their missiles are aimed at residential areas.

I had the opposite idea - that the rebel fighters were having a hard time and possibly losing, especially since I heard about that big explosion last night.
Also, it has been my understanding that the party who initiated the fight would be well prepared and strong. But now you are saying they are losing, their soldiers are defecting etc.

Terrific pictures here about the grim situation:

Oh, those must be the "Nazis"!!
You wouldn't think the chocolate king could be such a tyrant. What nationality is he actually? Can't be a real Ukraine. He is a billionaire! Now, that explains everything!!

Rebel fighters are doing fine. I expect them to advance to Mariupol. Those guys in Kiev government have a reason to worry. Some of them are going to be arrested and punished for war crimes. And, again, did you notice that posters from Ukraine are very rare and far between. They vanished, eventually. Why it is so? This is because nobody loves Porko's Ukraine and not willing to defend it.

Now it becomes clear Merkel love to Ukrainian fascists.
Anonymous Germany published a series of photos and say - they confirm that Chancellor Merkel took part in the meeting of the group of neo-Nazis.
Photos - 1993, is a neo-Nazi youth center Elbterrassen in Magdeburg.

They are getting extremely desperate now Pronin. If washington sends in heavy artillery Russia will have to do the same.

Ukrainian Parliament Passes Law Allowing Army Deserters to be Shot

Ukraine’s parliament has passed a law which authorizes commanding officers to use physical force against army defectors. It comes as the latest military draft has seen a lack of enthusiasm on the part of potential soldiers.

Ukraine’s parliament voted on Thursday with 260 MPs in favor – only 226 votes were needed to pass the law. The new article 22(1) added to the charter regulating service in the armed forces of Ukraine states that commanders “have the right to personally use physical force, special means, and weapons when in combat” against soldiers who commit “criminal acts.”

Under criminal acts the law lists “disobedience, resistance or threat to use force against the commander, voluntary abandonment of military positions and certain locations of military units in areas of combat missions.”

An explanatory note to the document says that currently there are mass violations of military discipline, in particular, desertion from units and drinking alcohol, as well failure to execute commanders’ orders.

In late January, a new Ukrainian military draft for 2015 came into effect. This one is the fourth wave of mobilization since Kiev launched a military operation against militias in eastern Ukraine in April 2014.

It was expected to see 100,000 people joining the army in three stages throughout the year. However, the country’s Defense Ministry said on January 31 that nearly 7,500 Ukrainians are already facing criminal charges for evading military service.

The Ukrainian president’s adviser, Yury Biryukov, cited statistics, showing that desertion surprisingly was primarily a problem in western Ukraine, traditionally seen as a hotbed of anti-Russian sentiment.

The Ukrainian president went as far as signing a decree on additional measures to ensure a successful draft in 2015. A major provision is temporary restriction on leaving the country for men eligible for military service.

“The Verkhovna Rada [Ukraine parliament] has authorized the shooting of army deserters. By doing so they are risking shooting the whole army: people don’t want to participate in a bloody venture,” said the head of Russia’s Lower House of Parliament Committee for relations with the CIS bloc, Leonid Slutsky, on his Twitter.

Kiev began a military assault on eastern Ukraine’s Donetsk and Lugansk regions in April 2014, after they refused to recognize the country’s new, coup-imposed authorities. Following a period of calm and hopes that the Minsk negotiations conducted in September 2014 were bearing fruit, Kiev launched a new assault on the militia-held areas on January 18. Since then, eastern Ukraine has suffered constant shelling. Among the latest incidents, a hospital in Donetsk was hit on Wednesday. Local authorities said more than 15 people were feared dead in the attack. According to UN estimates, over 5,000 people have died since the conflict started."

The US has no good reason to get involved, just let the eastern Ukrainians join Russia and learn the hard way they're digging their economic graves.

Yes Im sure they would be much better off under washington rule after all didnt washington just put in their vassal as the Minister of Finance.
    She has a great record.
"Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko, an ex-U.S. diplomat and newly minted Ukrainian citizen, was involved in insider dealings while managing a $150 million U.S. AID-backed investment fund."
At least she will have Hunter Biden there to help her out.

If all else fails they could always give the federal reserve what is left of the peoples gold reserves and Im sure they will have it there when they need it.

After all wasnt it there for Germany when they asked for it back. Well at least they got back 5 tonnes of the 120 tonnes washington was holding. Good enough.

I wondered why she was being allowed to speak, but then I realized the recruiter must have been afraid of the crowd. Here are some excerpts from Russia Insider:

"...What she did is now a crime in Ukraine: the only reason she wasn’t arrested on the spot is that the villagers wouldn’t have permitted it. But in Ukrainian Transcarpathia, well-known journalist for Ukrainian Channel 112 Ruslan Kotsaba has been arrested and charged with 'treason' and 'espionage' for making a video in which he declared: 'I would rather sit in jail for three to five years than go to the east to kill my Ukrainian brothers.' Kotsaba’s particular crime, according to prosecutors, was in describing the conflict as a civil war rather than a Russian invasion..."

"...that an indigenous rebellion with substantial support is really a Russian plot to "subvert" Ukraine and reestablish the Warsaw Pact – now has the force of law in Ukraine. Anyone who contradicts it is subject to arrest..."

"...In a Facebook post that was quickly deleted, Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak wrote: “According to unofficial sources, hostels and motels in border regions of neighboring Romania are completely filled with draft dodgers.”

"...Draft resistance is at an all-time high: a mere 6 percent of those called up have reported voluntarily. This has forced the Kiev authorities to go knocking on doors – where they are met either with a mass of angry villagers, who refuse to let them take anyone, or else ghost towns where virtually everyone has fled..."

"...In the Transcarpathia region of western Ukraine, entire villages have been emptied, the inhabitants fleeing to Russia to wait out the war – or the fall of the Kiev regime, whichever comes first..."

There.... Problem solved. There will be no sitting in jail.

Excellent. The man is amazingly well informed and thinking correctly. This is Ukraina I remember well. This explains many things, including the fact why we do not see posters from Ukraine in this forum. Nobody with right mind and intentions wants to fight for so-called Ukraine.

Those were immature, ill informed individuals. They did not have much to tell and, possibly, learned something good from us and understood that Ukraine is a fake country.

Do you honestly believe the people who are dying in the mud, fighting with tanks and missles are just brainwashed zombies? Do you really believe Russia today news has so much power people are willing to die for them?

You're gonna go home to you nice warm bed and have a nice dinner after you post this nonsense meanwhile these people will be risking their lives for what they believe in.

Why do u think one group has the right too take over a whole country by
chasing the Democratically elected president out of his country with assault rifles and torches????

but these "seperatists" who have done nothing other then support the true president of Ukraine over this coup
can't takeover through violence 2 provinces?

The fact that the paid mercenaries cant beat a bunch of farmers and miners honestly never occurred to washington. Surprise!
Last I heard only 3 in 100 are showing up for the draft. Only the truly ignorant hasnt figured it out yet.

Mercs cannot win a war for you, they have no dog in the fight and most likely will not go above and beyond just for a paycheck. Mercs work well for training, and consulting, and some defensive actions.
