Most British remember how the Polish fought very bravely against the cowardly Nazi scum in WW2, some consider the Polish squadrons to of been the bravest of the few.

He was one of the 6 prisoners (initially) who had their sentence cut to life imprisonment and was eventually released where he then made his way to England to meet up with my father who had been captured on 13 May when the Afrika Korps surrendered, he was initially sent to Camp Shelby in Mississippi before being transferred to the UK where he met my mother, after the war he decided to stay in the UK .. my father and his brother (my uncle) spent much time recounting their time during the war, before my uncle died in 1979 and my father in 1982 .. including what had occurred at Malmedy.
