The headline: ‘Bullet holes everywhere’ at the scene of a quadruple murder in Maine, affidavit says

    The link:
Maine quadruple murder scene details revealed in affidavit | CNN

The lede: "The woman who found the bodies of four people who were murdered at a home in Maine told police she saw “several firearms laying out” and “bullet holes everywhere,” according to a probable cause affidavit for the case.

"Lisa Shea, who was visiting Maine for the Easter holiday found her sister, Patricia Eger, brother-in-law Robert Eger, Cynthia Eaton and David Eaton dead in the Egers’ Bowdoin home Tuesday, the document said."

The comment: Guns in the news.

    Again.

Once again our social programs, our laws and our level of law enforcement was unable to avert this shooting. Four more dead of gunshot.

Deaths from gunshot, based upon data for 2020, occur roughly every 12 minutes in the United States of America.* Roughly 110-120 people will also die from gunshot today in the United States of America if the rate of the 2020 data holds.

The level of deaths by gunshot in the United States ranks high against other modern democracies.

    Guns in the news.

    Again.

    Stay safe 'n well 'n un-shot.

    Keep it up.

Let's not forget there are actual victims here the stats behind this massive gun problem in the US

And let's also not forget that we all can find the list saying where homicide is the worst.
It shows that the worst states are dominated by your typical red wing weak gun law states.
The GOP approach is failing America. Time to own up for a change.

Never blame the humans that pulled the triggers. Always blame the inanimate weapon. That shows a lack of critical thinking skills.

    Hi Eleuthera.

I've read my post carefully and can find the word 'blame' nowhere in it. And as for humans who pull the trigger, I'm well aware of the fact that a law abiding gun owner is safe to have around . . . until he decides to start shooting people and isn't.

    Regards, stay safe 'n well 'n un-shot.

Some are not, but I am able to 'read between the lines' to often determine what the writer is trying to say.

    Hi again, Eleuthera.

    Thanks for the response.

I admire your ability. It's one I do not possess. I take people at face value until they indicate otherwise. A personal failing, but I'm informed by my ideology.

    Regards, stay safe 'n well 'n un-shot.

so let me get this straight, you can’t figure out how a person can blame something without literally using the word blame, but you think you are able to disseminate an issue enough to not only pick the correct position on it but also to convince others of that position.

Stop proving you aren’t capable of handling topics and spend your time educating yourself enough so that you are worth listening to.

or just go back to copy and pasting the same 1-dimensional words, as if flooding the zone with elementary logic is somehow all the difference between ignorance and wisdom.

I too take people at face value. Doing that is not really the same as being able to read between the lines. I trust new acquaintances until they demonstrate they do not deserve trust.

I trust you, but I've read enough of your posts and threads over a few years to understand that you believe that a statute or government policy phrased with certain words can actually stop humans from killing each other with guns. Though that is a noble thought and desire, it is extremely naive, as we've had 'gun control' laws for 60 or 70 years and they've only made matters worse.

The son gets out of prison and murders his family. They should have kept him he was clearly still dangerous. Didn’t need a gun to accomplish this.
