Strange this would happen even though so far no one has died. I hope the rioters are prosecuted. I wish the stabbing victims a full recovery:

The attacker is reported to have been living in Ireland for 20 years. If this guy was typical "Irish looking" there would not be any rioting. The far right stirring up racism

IDK what to make of it since I have seen at least three different people being credited with subduing the knifeman, two of them being foreigners---1 from France and 1 from Brazil--yet they each seem to have done it alone.

Newsweek reported that the suspect is Algerian but Irish police have not commented on his background. He could be Kenyan or even Italian. The Irish rioters jumped the gun.

It still seems like an overreaction, like it's being hijacked for political reasons (certainly not the first time that's ever happened!):

It is being hijacked for political reasons although it isn't like the immigration concerns are unfounded considering immigrants make up 20% of the population now and are making housing prices skyrocket. However, the government of Ireland will use this to crack down on the far-right groups so the unrest probably isn't over yet.

Towards the attacker sure (though not some generic group the attacker might be assumed - possibly wrongly - happen to be part of). That attacker was immediately apprehended and in police custody though so that didn't require any form of immediate response.

And regardless, how can you align a reaction to an individual stabbing some people with rioting, torching busses, attacking police officers and looting shops? That stabbing can't possible be the reason for the rioting, it was just an excuse. So why are you excusing it?

Y'all were ok with the BLM riots. Why are you not ok with this?

No I wasn't. I don't support rioting regardless of who is doing it or why (purported or actual reasons). By the argument you're presenting here though, you should be since they were reacting to someone being killed.

Now again, why are you excusing the riots in Dublin?

We'll probably see more unrest in Europe. Immigration is becoming a global flash point, particularly as the gap between the Have Nots and the Everybody Else widens.

It's fine to criticize woke media but I don't think the PM hates the Irish people:

It wouldn't be the first time it happened? I can't recall a similar situation in Europe where a foreign criminal's actions resulted in rioting by natives. As far as I know, this is the first time it's happened in modern times.

If he would have only have knifed adults, no one would have noticed.
I have warned my kids that violence is un predictable. You don't know how bad it will get when it starts.
You go there with your biddies for the thrill, meet some chicks, drink a pint or two as you inhale the adrenaline. You give the wrong dude an high beam stare and he hunts you down as stabs you.
Hopefully, he's a pro and only wounds you.

The natives are getting restless. They have that feeling they are loosing their country to foreign interlopers who are not interested in assimilating.

The Irish media is being more than a little bit dishonest when they claim they are "far-right agitators".

You can read the conservative opinion about what has been happening here:
Blame Ireland's migrant surge, not 'right-wingers,' for Dublin riots , by Theo McDonald, New York Post, November 24, 2023

"The Irish population has increased by more than 2%. If the US had similar immigration, it would mean 9 million extra people.
This is the highest level since the prosperous "Celtic Tiger" era of the late '90s.
    Ireland's non-nationals comprise a whopping 20% of the population.
This has turned an already explosive housing shortage into a catastrophe. Rioters even hijacked a bus for reckless joyriding.
Police chiefs have been quick to blame "far right" elements.
Yet public frustration with homelessness, joblessness, immigration, lack of law and order and anti-social behavior have been breeding a revolt by the urban underclass. Ireland has seen a surge in anti-immigration protests in recent years as the large influx of migrants has sparked clashes with already deprived communities and rural enclaves.
Irish youths are swinging to the Sinn Fein opposition political party, which was at one point the political wing of the terrorist Irish Republican Army. Mainstream or center-led parties are in a panic about a Sinn Fein voting surge, as in 2020.
Commentary with vague but menacing tones about the "far right" masks the fact there is no political representation of serious conservative opinion in the Irish Parliament."
It sounds like many of these rioters are rowdy working class men who traditionally make up the backbone of supporters for Ireland's Left-leaning party.
The media and the leaders don't want to recognize that since it would be embarrassing to them, and they would have to openly recognize that their party's voters disagree and want to go in a different direction from the ideology of the party leadership.

Did you read the story? No. No you didn't. The rioters were not attacking people and burning down cars because their victims were harming children. Yes, these rioters were criminals. And no one is defending the attack on the children. I'm very thankful for the immigrants that put a stop to that criminal's attack.
