Country music singer Neal McCoy did something controversial: he released a song called "Take a Knee...My A**!" He co-wrote the song with a friend, the Washington Examiner reported.

The song's theme is a political statement against NFL players like Colin Kaepernick who have decided to kneel during the National Anthem as a means of protesting injustices in America.

“When I see someone on TV take their stand by bending their knee, whether it be on astroturf or grass," the lyrics say. "I think of those whose freedom was not free, and I say: ‘Take a knee – my a**!’”

According to McCoy, this song is an expression of how he feels about the controversial subject. He explains his view of the military as his reason for standing during the National Anthem.

McCoy has also made 15 USO performances for our troops in Iraq and Pakistan......snip~

McCoy is also known for posting videos on social media of him saying the Pledge of Allegiance.

As of Friday morning, McCoy had posted a video saying the Pledge of Allegiance 680 days in a row.....snip~ Same link.

That's his opinion, and he has right to express it.

What's so typically RW about it is that his opinion is that nobody else has a right to express their opinion, and he doesn't see any inconsistency there..

Fight birth defects, ban country music.

When asked what he thought of Kaepernick, McCoy explained what he thought the NFL star would be known for and why he was opposed to kneeling during the National Anthem.

"When it is all explained, I think ... [Kaepernik] will eventually be known for civil rights," McCoy said. "I am all about protesting, but I just thought it was the wrong time, wrong place kind of thing, at least from my taste.".....snip~

If Faith Hill the Country Singer is a Birth defect.....I want to see more like her. Just sayin.

Its one way to treat the leftness in the country.

Myself, I would have been a bit more offensive to the leftness and told Kaepernick......that's Right bitch. Get down on those knees. Right where you belong.

Country music has always been more conservative than other types of music. Very few times have country artists gone against conservatism (I.e. The Dixie Chicks). Not surprised though this country artist has written a song on an issue so minuscule. Knees don’t hurt people.

Just waiting for a same type of artist in the country realm to write a song called, “Lesve my bump stocks alone” in regards to the Las Vegas shooting and see how that gets received.

Oh look, fake patriotism from a nobody country "music" (if you can call it music) star looking to profit from all the other fake patriots out there. Having never served himself, he uses patriotic imagery and our troops to cast himself as a beacon of patriotism by pandering to right wing neanderthals. Very inspiring.
