I wouldn't have said something like Scott Adams did. I'm not a statistician so I can't really evaluate the situation. I can't help wondering if the media has contributed to worsening race relations:
The woke have a stranglehold on American society. If we do not break it we will be destroyed by it. We have already past the point where the criminals are the good guys and the police are the bad guys.
Who Says It's Not Okay to Be White? 'Rasmussen polled 1,000 people, only 130 of whom were black. If you do the math, 47 percent of 130 adds up to a whopping 61 black Americans.' Scott Adams threw his business away over the answers of 61 people as if they accurately represent the view of 19,000,000 black americans? 'Moreover, what many don’t know is that the phrase “it’s okay to be white,” was originated by bonafide white supremacists about five years ago. Of course, this does not mean any person who says that in 2023 is a white supremacist or even a racist. But many black people know where that phrase came from which could have also skewed the results, even on that paltry sampling of African Americans.' I appreciate Scott Adam's work, but, I'm not impressed with this.
This was the claim of a Black Conservative, I don't know. But, I have enough respect for Scott Adams' understanding of the power of rhetoric that it's hard for me to believe that he didn't fully understand that this would be the reaction. And of course all innate characteristics are "all right". We have power over our actions, our beliefs, our habits, our choices, our actions, we have no power over our innate characteristics and attempts to judge our character based on them are fundamentally dishonest.
Well, the apples don't fall far from the trees. Look at which party they support. Tells us why they are the worst of the bunch.
Are you disputing that the phrase "It's OK to be white," was made up by white supremacists, as has been claimed by news sources? If so, what is your evidence? If not, how does the idea of a "white leftist hate machine" come into the picture? Yet, I would bet you support white people who have a problem with, and don't want to use, the phrase Black Lives Matter-- am I right? The objection to that simple statement, is that some real MAGA intellectuals, claim that saying "black lives matter," if you don't include everyone, is like saying that white lives, don't matter. If one accepts the logic behind that, they can have no valid objection to the idea that the line, "it's OK to be white," suggests that being black, is not OK. I would not feel this way, myself-- if not for that being the slogan of white racists; but then I have no problem saying, "black lives matter," and meaning it. IOW, supporting the asses who have to stress "all lives matter," but calling blacks racists, when perhaps they would only prefer to say that "it's OK to be any color," instead of "...to be white," is blatantly hypocritical. And yeah, your post doesn't suggest you're too overtly racist. With endorsers like you, Scott Adams should start feeling better about this, already.
It’s ok to be white was not made up by white supremacists.,,that was a leftist conspiracy theory that unsurprisingly fooled the left. you watch to much cnn
This thread is a good place to remind us of the non-black version of "the talk." (10) Thus, while always attentive to the particular qualities of individuals, on the many occasions where you have nothing to guide you but knowledge of those mean differences, use statistical common sense: (10a) Avoid concentrations of blacks not all known to you personally. (10b) Stay out of heavily black neighborhoods. (10c) If planning a trip to a beach or amusement park at some date, find out whether it is likely to be swamped with blacks on that date (neglect of that one got me the closest I have ever gotten to death by gunshot). (10d) Do not attend events likely to draw a lot of blacks. (10e) If you are at some public event at which the number of blacks suddenly swells, leave as quickly as possible. (10f) Do not settle in a district or municipality run by black politicians. (10g) Before voting for a black politician, scrutinize his/her character much more carefully than you would a white. (10h) Do not act the Good Samaritan to blacks in apparent distress, e.g., on the highway. (10i) If accosted by a strange black in the street, smile and say something polite but keep moving. exerted from: https://www.unz.com/jderbyshire/the-talk-nonblack-version/
They are probably not the worst, and many who perceive themselves to be "progressive" are apparently somehow unwittingly racist. “Microinvalidations Microinvalidations are momentary acts that serve to invalidate the very people of color we care about. These unconscious interactions perpetuate the hopelessness many African-Americans, Latinos, Native Americans, and other people of color, feel in this country. Many of you may stop reading now, thinking, "Here we go with the political correctness." You say to yourself: "I'm not perpetuating racism, and I'm certainly not invalidating people of color. Donald Trump may be, but not me." That's what I used to think. But, right there, you're committing a microinvalidation. It's called Denial. Racism just won't die, because its roots are deep.
