Even in the midst rocketing housing prices, sales prices on Trump branded nonsense are plummeting. I mean, who wants to live in a building with the name of an irrational, twice impeached loser on the outside? It seems less and less people. https://www.marketwatch.com/story/t...s-continue-to-fall-across-the-u-s-01622822422 The building has stunning Manhattan skyline views, its spa offers deep-tissue massages, and the fancy restaurant off the lobby serves up prime steaks. Best of all, many apartments at the Trump World Tower are selling at a deep discount — assuming the buyer doesn’t mind the name over the door. “Fifty percent of the people wouldn’t want to live in a Trump building for any reason … but then there are guys like me,” says Lou Sollecito, a car dealer who recently bought a two-bedroom unit with views of the Empire State Building. “It’s a super buy.” The purchase price was $3 million, nearly a million less than the seller paid in 2008. Bargain hunters are swooping in to take advantage of prices in Trump buildings that have dropped to levels not seen in over a decade, a crash brokers attribute to a combination of the former president’s polarizing image and the coronavirus pandemic. It’s a stunning reversal for a brand that once lured the rich and famous willing to pay a premium to live in a building with Trump’s gilded name on it.
I find it impossible to image that Trump will go to prison when all is said and done. He still has amazing powers over the party and all of them are going to continue to dance to his drumbeat. Unless he has to liquidate everything to flee the country (I think it was @StillBlue who said he could take a yacht somewhere to be untouchable) and pay off Melania, those properties should bounce back as the economy recovers.
Trump should just use the donation money he received to buy an island so his followers can move there and worship him 24/7.
Howard Stern said that he despises the very people that support him so he's be on the island all by himself and a McDonald's he will surely require.
Housing prices are up almost everywhere. I think we are seeing a flat objection to anything that is associated with Trump.
We, Americans, have short memories. Even Lewinsky is making money off her latest book. Trump might have a bigger hole to climb from given his pandemic response, repulsive personality and narcissism but it can happen.
I've said it a million times now. I may not like Trump but I've got to hand to him. A billionaire that can get non-billionaires to send him money has got swag.
If it was nice enough and someone was paying me to “live” there, I would definitely say I was and then rent it out.
Bingo! Forget the political implications - he has a bad reputation for quality workmanship possibly because he also has a bad reputation for stiffing contractors
That’s just embarrassing, but who would buy a condo from someone known for operating run down, bug infested hotels and who stiffs his customers and employees every chance he gets? Imagine what he could do charging exorbitant maintenance fees to trapped condo owners. Nobody with any sense would live in one of trump’s properties.
Don't think Donald will be suffering any time soon - Well done steaks with Ketchup ... what can we say - Ex President - he will do fine .. just wait until his memoirs come out .. should be a book deal there somewhere .. a "Trump Tells All" .. the show must go on ..
