Rep. Tom Rice (R-SC), who was among the 10 House Republicans that voted to impeach former President Trump for “incitement of insurrection,” on Sunday made clear that he does not regret his vote even as faces backlash within his party ahead of his bid for re-election in the South Carolina GOP primary.
The primary next week follows the state GOP’s vote to censure Rice after his vote to impeach Trump last year. Rice is among the GOP lawmakers Trump vowed vengeance against in light of their impeachment votes, following the deadly Capitol insurrection amid the then-President’s fruitless attempts to subvert the 2020 presidential election results.
Appearing on ABC News, Rice said his impeachment vote was not a “hard” decision, citing Trump’s inaction throughout most of Jan. 6 even after his then-Vice President Mike Pence’s life was endangered. Rice pointed to the crowd of Trump supporters chanting “hang Mike Pence” at the Capitol as the insurrection unfolded.
Rice argued that if Trump were to launch another presidential bid, it would “hurt” the GOP.

    Rice is (obviously) spot-on.
    Trump deserved to be impeached.
If Trump runs in 2024, it will end in disaster for the GOP.
Rice leads in polls by double-digits.
Trump-endorsed candidate (Rice opponent) headed to another defeat for Trump.

Even the Republican leader said he was guilty which is why they delayed the senate vote until after he could no longer be convicted
They would have probably secured the conviction and then who knows what cult45 would have done

People like them existing is the sole reason I support everyone being armed

    Fake News.
    Rice lost.

    Fired as a Representative.
The key to representing others? Is you have to actually represent the others who vote to determine if you remain on the job. This clown crossed those he is supposed to represent and they, quite properly, kicked him to the curb.

Your claim that he was on his way to a double digit is fake news. Russell Fry, his Trumpian challenger, beat him, exceeded 50 percent of the vote, and so doesn't even have to run in a runoff. Your hero, Rice, just got his ass handed to him by his bosses, the voters.

It was a Trumpian Butt Whumpin'

"Fry earned 51.08 percent of the vote to Rep. Rice's 24.57 percent. At no point did Rep. Rice lead in the polls. In fact, he was behind by double digits throughout. "

Bested him by two to one. Flogged him like a rented mule.

    Sad!

You guys keep claiming that folks like this clown and Cheney are wonderful representatives once they backstab those they swore to represent, but, I don't see you picking them to represent you.

Essentially they were dumb enough to let the Left talk them into committing political suicide.

    I simply accept Darwin's results.

And that is the bogus part. Trump had no action to take other than what he did, three times, Tweeting for the rioters to be peaceful and obey the police. That's all he could do so why was he impeached instead of Pelosi and Schumer for not having the proper security there to begin with and to order their SaA's to get the request approve and the NG stationed at the Capital as Trump and others in the administration including the CIA, FBI and HSA were advising them to.

If Trump's plan was an insurrection then why since the end of December was his office and those offices stridently urging them to get several thousand NG troops there to protect the building?

Did this GOP Rep even consider those facts?

    Non-responsive response.

While the J6 Clowns are joined by these two GOP idiots who were dumb enough to be talked into committing political suicide, at which point their utility to Dems is over, and they are discarded, Biden and the Dems are unnecessarily crashing the economy while they themselves are fixed on meaningless Trumpian Revenge Porn.

Bidenflation blast: Dow falls below 30K while mortgage rates skyrocket

"Every once in a while, Joe Biden manages to tell the truth. “We’re changing people’s lives!” Biden shouted this week to an AFL-CIO meeting, defending his reckless spending."

    Oh yeah, "changing" them, alright.

"By golly, Biden changing people’s retirements and spending ability. Skyrocketing inflation that Biden triggered with his March 2021 American Rescue Plan had already sent the markets into bear territory before the Federal Reserve finally took significant action to curtail it yesterday. Today’s markets are" registering the reality:

DOW is underwater for the Biden Presidency.

Consumer spending in May plunged. "The -0.3% decline in month-on-month spending is yet another warning signal that the consumers who drive economic growth in the US economy have reached their limit in Bidenflation erosion of their buying power."

And these rotten bastards did it to us on purpose. "Mortgage rates spiked overnight by the biggest margin in 35 years, throwing a monkey wrench at strategies for managing most Americans’ biggest asset:"

"People who have spent decades investing in IRAs and 401K retirement plans may need to cut back spending as their net worth plummets."

"Joe Biden’s changing lives indeed. He’s wrecking them."

Cheney and this other clown, with the Democrats, are so focused on Trump revenge porn that they do not care that they are destroying the country.

Nov - that's when we start great the Great American Restoration!

And yet, it the GOP that's surging while Trump Revenge Porn Dems are going down like flies.

RCP has 223 in the GOP column - that's the Speakership +5. And you know how many currently Democrat seats are in that 223? TWENTY ONE!

RCP has 32 seats in the toss up category. Do you know how many of those are currently Democrat seats? ANOTHER 28!

    Wooh Doggy!

You can have this turncoat clown, and Cheney too.

That's a dead-ender viewpoint, thoroughly debunked and rejected by the voters.

You like the Cheney's? You can have them. You think they are great representatives? Elect them to office. Dems won't, confirming my point.

Carrying the Russian talking points is the dead-end AKA propaganda. Problem is you simply don't get it because you don't want to get it. I can't help with that but Vlad appreciates the dividing of America by the Trump water carriers on the far RW. It's his plan and POS45 was his instrument.

The mistake everyone here and all voters make is trusting in any politician that opens their mouths. This country is broken because of all of us not standing up. Not establishing term limits for all offices.

Since you like to play independent and equate both sides of the aisle, why not stand against corps buying blocks of voting power in Congress? Let's all stand against Citizen's United.
