Peabody explicitly asked "If he criticized his Dad in public post the link." and you responded that he did in the OP which has nothing to do with criticizing his dad in public, only hearsay from a "source".

So in essence, you do not have a link where D. Jr publicly criticized his dad. Only hearsay from the vanity fair...

Mod's should move this thread to the conspiracy section.

And entirely debunked. See post #9.

“Vanity Fair reports that Donald Trump Jr. was very upset with his father for taking that drive Sunday. The president's son told FOX6 News it was patently false.

Or the trash, LOL. A fake news topic, debunked by the 9th post, and yet the headline-only-reading-crowd is still taking it as fact because they never made it past the OP

Fair point. I missed the explicit 'in public part'.

That said, just because they say 'anonymous source' in the story, doesn't make the source anonymous to the writer.

If it wasn't true, I'd expect a libel lawsuit any moment now.

Yes, and the chances of me falling for vanity fair clickbait are slim to none.

The person in question denying it doesn't debunk it. I mean, why on earth would he admit it was true if it was?? You don't take everything they say at face value do you?

The one person guaranteed to know if it is true is the person accused of saying it, LOL. You can't ask for a better source for debunking! But go ahead blindly trusting "anonymous sources" so long as they feed you the fictions you want to hear

    Exactly.

I remember Nixon complaining about "anonymous sources" during Watetgate.

And, how did that end for the GOP President?

Don Jr. got caught telling the truth (for once).

Now, he is running around like Chicken Little screaming about "anonymous sources"?

    Too funny.

Did you believe Clinton when he said he didn't have sexual relations with Monica?

Did you believe Dennis Hasert when he said he wasn't a pedophile?

Did you believe JFK when he said they had no plans for military intervention into Cuba?

Like seriously, get your head out of the sand.

Do you believe every crazy claim from every "anonymous source" as long as it supports your biases?

Lol again, I never said it was 100% concrete. I said that a denial from the individual in question who has a vested interest to not have that confirmed is not the best source for a denial or confirmation.

As I also said, this is libelous material and I readily await the lawsuit against such an accusation by DTJr. Because that's what wealthy people do when a publication lies about them, they sue to protect their good name.

Do you always believe people accused of crimes that carry prison sentences when they say not guilty?

    Are you calling me crazy?

I posted an article from a reputable publication. I also posted the fact that Donald Trump jr claims he didn’t make those statements.

agree, the family would fear upsetting Trump and would definitely deny it

most think it, so I could see the family thinking and saying it in private

So there is no actual proof, only somebody said he said it? Is that correct?

More accurately, Trump didn't directly collude with Putin.
Yes. We have no direct evidence of the accuracy of the statement.

nope. It doesn't make it false either. The joys of journalism sometimes.

That makes it an opinion and they are like backsides, everyone's got one.

No it doesn't. An opinion is a statement of personal preference.

The legitimacy of a claim of someone stating something doesn't change anything about the claim.
