    Just the facts:

Per the article in the OP:

"The Trump Organization and MNC signed deals in 2015 for Lido and a Bali project, resulting in almost US$3.7 million in licensing and consulting payments for the Trump Organisation, according to MNC’s most recent annual report."

    https://www.nbcnews.com/business/business-news/why-trump-fighting-save-telecom-jobs-china-n874011

“ZTE is a bargaining chip for the larger issue of U.S.-China conflict over trade and industrial policy issues,” said Paul Triolo, head of the geo-technology practice at the Eurasia Group. “What it does offer is a short-term diffusion of tensions,” he said.

Although it is probably unfamiliar to most American consumers, the Zhongxing Telecommunications Equipment Corporation, known as ZTE, is a big player in the global telecom industry. As the fourth-largest player in the American smartphone market, it employs more than 70,000 people. To make its phones as well as cellular network equipment, the company uses components from American companies, including chips from Intel and Qualcomm, and Alphabet’s Android operating system.

ZTE ran afoul of the U.S. Treasury and Commerce Departments when it sold hardware incorporating American technology to Iran and North Korea in violation of U.S. sanctions against those countries. In March, ZTE agreed to pay $1.2 billion, but when Commerce Department officials discovered a month later that it had rewarded rather than punished the company officials responsible for the violations, it implemented a “denial order” prohibiting U.S. companies from selling their goods to ZTE for seven years.
You should reconsider who should be warned about insulting peoples intelligence.

Gee, Trump wants to save ZTE, a state owned telecom who was found guilty of selling US technology to Iran & North Korea (among others) and fined heavily for it. Then ZTE lied about these activities so the US Commerce Dept. took a rare step and banned them from acquiring any US products, effectively ruining their business. So Trump steps in to save a Chinese state owned telecom company who has been shown to be a severe national security risk to the US, saying it's necessary to save Chinese jobs....gee Donny, let's make China great again....

The payoff for Trump - lo & behold, the Chinese government issues a statement saying they will provide $500 MILLION in funding for a Trump connected golf course/resort project in Indonesia - sweet!...........Trump - the art of the deal and putting the national security of the nation at risk.

Having a successful capitalist anywhere near the reigns of power is a horrifying prospect...ordeal.... for the professional left....all the work they've put in to sully and sabotage capitalism's good name...to 'prove its ample and systemic flaws'.... only to have an unapologetic capitalist come in to put America and Americans back on the path to prosperity.

At one time, before 'politics' morphed into a singular ambition and life-long career option, people who sought to serve their country (versus themselves) in a political capacity were expected to return to their farms and businesses after a turn at the wheel, now we have people (well, leftists) who are seemingly trying to plant the idea that it's a 'conflict of interest'... criminal, even... to have ever held a job outside of government.

Posting pictures shows the low level of maturity that dems are exhibiting. They create more Trump supporters in the process.

So from now on all presidents must liquidate all their holdings and take cash positions until they leave office?

So wealthy asset holders can't be president because they would have to lose their assets? Sorry, I prefer to have people who have been successful running things.

Unloading assets and using blind trusts is / was standard procedure for White House jobs. Now, none of that seems to matter. It is a object of fascination how anyone and everyone can come into Congress with a hundred bucks in their pockets and leave with a million or so. "Washington is a corrupt town". - John McCain. 'Outlaw booze or sex in Washington and nobody would be left'. - Barry Goldwater.

People that voted for Trump were understandably frustrated with Washington corruption and angry at being dismissed, even vilified, by "liberal elites". Trump ran on draining the swamp and changing all that. He did, and left a cesspool in its place. A lot of people think the 2018 mid term elections will change all that. Wanna bet?

Let's not forget Jimmy Carter almost lost the Carter peanut farm because of the mismanagement of the blind trust trustees.
