There is much nonsense and folderol written and spoken about the LGBTQ community these days. Some of it can be traced specifically to confusion between, for lack of better terms, body and self.

Each human being can be seen as a physical body. It's the box which contains our self-aware 'self'. There is no reason, per se, to assume that the sexual identity of the body and self will match. Nor, for that matter, is there a reason to assume that they will not. That, as far as we know, most do and some do not is a 'given'. The rest is acceptance of these facts.
