This study doesn't attack guns, the left has now moved on to change the narrative to attacking gun owners. The study couldn't prove guns are mostly responsible foe spousal homicide, so they move the goal posts to make it appear GUN OWNERS are more violent.

The agenda shift is clear, and the cherry picked facts are swallowed up by the lemmenings.

If guns attract crime, how come police stations, shooting ranges, and gun stores are not on that list?

Anecdotal narratives aren’t relevant and I have no clue where Bakersfield is located

    Wrong.

That is not what the a study says.

That would make more sense, but they couldn't make the facts work

Correlation does not necessarily imply a particular direction of causation.
It might be that these people live in unsafe neighborhoods, where home invasions and robberies are commonplace, and that is why they chose to have a gun in the first place.

Irrelevant, not who is doing the shooting, but the easy availability to guns makes it easier

Guns were designed to do the same job a spear does. Now what?

Well! I can tell you that a pretty high percentage of those homes where 45,000 American died shouldn't have had any guns in the first place and were probably illegally owned. Criminals are fools with Guns, they leave them lying around the house like tools and they don't give a **** if a kid picks it up and plays with it like a toy.

Nothing will provide the causation you would need, and using the logic those that making your point used, having a swimming pool in your yard surely increases your chances of drowning

“Probables” won’t do when taking about the loss of life, and as in the majority of cases, a lot of those criminally were law biding gun owners up until the moment they pulled the trigger

majority, not overwhelmingly, and those percentages are shrinking every year, bedsides it is deaths, guns present in the house makes suicide easier

    So I won't do that.

If you want to blame me for the crimes other people commit you aren't being rational.

    2/3 that's pretty overwhelming we aren't talking about 51-55%

Yeah if you aren't suicidal than they don't present that risk.

The whole point always has been to attack gun owners.

You don't control crime by making it harder for people to own guns you control people who don't commit crimes with more laws.

The lawless are not controlled by laws if they were they wouldn't be lawless.

It seems to be an effort to make sure that only outlaws have guns

The blaming of criminal behavior on gun owners is a red herring.

Everybody knows it isn't gun owners committing homicide they just use that as an excuse to go after political rivals.

Are they shot by their gun-owning roommates?
Why should a gun nut murder family & friends? This is crazy.

Why do you have to refer to a typical gun owner as a " gun nut"

On a side note here is an interesting fact.... The dermagraphic who makes up most first time gun owners is now liberals. It seems they wish to speak about gun control but they sure want to have one their self

More correlation =\= causation. Gun ownership in rural areas is most often hobby centered. Rural areas have low per capita murder rates, so they arent driving these stats anyway. In the city, where the vast bulk of murder and violence in feneral occurs, having a gun is more often centered around defense. People have a sense of when they're in danger. Its likely that people in areas where they're more likely to be victimized at home keep a gun there because of that. This would cause the correlation. In the city, people are more likely to be murdered regardless of whether they have a gun ...which is why they have a gun.

I think that most civilian gun owners who aren't hunters are true gun lovers. They don't need any firearms but they like them.
