Remember it's just because they were in the Confederacy and they lost the war and we shouldn't have to support what that was since they lost....

Oh wait... this keeps going well and further beyond that. So they lied. That means their motivations are suspect and that the real motivations should be know.

It's just about erasing history so they can replace it with their revolution. If you think different you're clueless.

This sounds like the same situation which occurred in Delaware. The Caesar Rodney statue had stood in Wilmington, Delaware for many years. When the 1999 Delaware State Quarter was issued, it appeared on the coin.

State officials took it down to save it during the George Floyd riots and have never put it up again. The reason is that they say the rioters would destroy it. That might well be true. All you need do is tell the "justice warriors" that a historical figure owned slaves and they go crazy.

Like many farmers or planters of his time, Caesar Rodney owned some slaves. Therefore his statue had to go.

At the beginning of July, 1776 Rodney was in the Dover area (mid state) dealing with Loyalist activity. He got word that the Delaware delegation to the Continental Congress was deadlocked over the vote for independence. Rodney rode through a thunderstorm through the night to arrive in Philadelphia in time to cast the deciding vote in the Delaware delegation. He signed the Declaration of Indepence and raised money to help fund the Continental Army. He led the state militia which kept loyalist activity in check in Delaware in check.

With the 250th anniversary of the nation's independence coming, I could see the progressives doing all they can to suppress the celebration of it. They have determined that this is a rotten country with a rotten history. None of them will tell you which country has great history since it's probably some place like Cuba or Communist China.

All statues of White People should be removed due to slavery. Maybe leave some religious ones like Jesus on the Cross and few female ones like Joan of Arc or Florence Nightingale.

So, conversely, all statues of non white people who have historically engaged in slavery should suffer the same, right?

So moving or destroying a statue is fit retribution for the death of a druggie?
