    https://abc13.com/amp/mass-shooting-minneapolis-in-what-really-happened-uptown/6258381/

So, it looks like Minneapolis had its first mass shooting since the riots.
First, I’d like to say that I hope the shooters will be caught and will be given fair justice.
Second, I can’t contain my sarcasm - their city council already voted to eliminate police department. Did they send an army of social workers to calm down those leftist hippies. I know that area very well, it’s all far left hippies. There is a strong chance this shooting was political in nature.
I hope we won’t see more of these.

I guess the city council's directive to disban the police hasn't taken effect.. Here's how the 911 call would have been:
Caller: "There is a mass shooting taking place here with bullets flying everywhere!"
911: "Sounds really bad. I'm so sorry. Have a nice day."

Even if the police were around, it would not have stopped the shooting.

Actually, they would. Hennepin Ave in uptown is a busy place with a lot of cops always present. If cops weren’t demonized and things were as usually they could have shot the shooters. Now, after Atlanta, I’m not surprised to see cops being reluctant to engage.

Well then all shootings can be stopped by the police. No, crazy people are going to shoot, police, other people with guns, et al.

    You don't know that.

How many crimes never even get attempted because of the fear of getting caught? No way to know, but it isn't zero. Take away the fear of getting caught and crime goes up. Why do you think people loot in large groups?....chance of getting caught and facing consequences is virtually zero.

Well then you are giving credence to those who prefer stricter gun laws. Crazy people don't about the police.

People commit crimes for various reasons, getting caught may have a factor, but certainly not enough to stop crime.

Gun laws are pointless if you got nobody to enforce the law

    That wasn't my point.

My point was simply you don't know whether a particular crime would've even occurred or not when you add in police presence.

This isn't just about police presence or non police presence. This is about our tolerance level for mayhem and violence. What local city and state governments have said to Americans across the country is: You're on your own.

And that failure, that most outrageous failure has put Americans in harms way. Because you see, their mayhem on other people is 'grieving'.

Democrats are extremely tolerant of all the lives lost every weekend yet are so overly concerned for the comparable FEW that are “innocently” killed by police every year.

It’s a hypocritical JOKE! Anyone who makes a big deal over death by cops while Ignoring the far larger problem of inner city violence are phonies. They don’t give a crap about “lives”. They only care about who’s doing the killing. PHONIES!!! Fake political hacks.

Let's stay honest here. That city council are indeed dimbasses but they did not vote to elliminate the police department. They also did not vote to defund the police department entirely. What the czapi did was to move certain currently non law keeping police functions. The morons came up with an absolutely stupid assed bumper sticker slogan phrase Defund The Police. You would think that there was at least a few of the idiots who should have explained to the rest of the gebonee she that saying defund the police Shen that is not what you mean is dumber than dumb.

The bozoos came up with a slogan before they defined a policy before they defined a process. You know it's just as if a surgeon started cutting into patient but had no clue what he was supposed perform surgery on.

    This is essentially my point.

The left can't see the big picture. Law and order must be maintained. The existence of law enforcement and their effectiveness ensures that people can live their lives without being afraid for their lives on a daily basis.

If a cop wouldn't defend citizens against an active shooter, then they shouldn't be cops. They should be happy we are creating new jobs for them.

After seeing what happened to Atlanta cop after being charged with murder literally for doing his job, I do not blame cops who refuse to engage.
Cops in liberal cities will become equivalent to corporate security guards - they are there just to document events and not get involved. Why should they risk their jobs? It’s much safer for a cop to not get involved than risk hurting someone non-white and ruin own life.
This is the natural result of lefts actions.

    First it's political being "Trump's Fault!" ...

    ... until it isn't:

Huh. So I guess it ISN'T Trump's fault after all! I mean, if it isn't political and suchlike.

Seriously, did AJ just contradict himself within the space of about 20 minutes?

Also, somebody may want to explain to him what the mayor of a city is responsible for, and the differences between local and federal responsibilities and job descriptions. I'd do it, but it's Father's Day. Time to relax.

Here’s the virtually zero that got caught.

All 34 that looted and damaged Scottsdale Fashion Square on May 30th have been arrested and charged with serious felonies, such as trafficking in stolen property, conspiracy to commit felony theft, felony criminal damage and more. Scottsdale won’t mess around with these punks. There will be sentenced of up to 20 years. These idiots should have stayed in Phoenix.

Looting at Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall and other places around the country on May 30 and 31 seemed organized to many observers.

In Scottsdale, the criminal activity of May 30 was followed by online threats the next day to attack white women in the city, some of which police said had originated in "anarchist" forums. Scottsdale Mayor Jim Mayor Lane said the culprits were tied to antifa.

On Friday, police announced the latest eight of the 34 arrested. They included:

    * Angelo Brady II, 24, was arrested and accused of trespassing. "He was linked to the riots by a video he posted," police said

    * Madison Mateevici- Dailey, 18, was arrested for possession of stolen property and trafficking stolen property.

    * Ariana Burrell, 24, was arrested and accused of possession of stolen property and trafficking stolen property.

All are from the Phoenix metro area.

Police also arrested four juveniles for various crimes including trafficking or possession of stolen property, trespassing, and criminal damage; three were from Scottsdale, another was from the Phoenix metro area. The latest four adults arrested are shown below:

Not all shootings, but there is something called preventive policing. This approach to policing creates rights abuses but deters crime. As in all things the key thing is balance.
