The best pictures are those shot in Summer as they nearly cover up the sad housing complex .

Hey Antol, welcome on PF.com! I actually enjoyed the pics, although I have a couple of remarks: (1) That electricity line needs to go underground (2) You need a tramline or a trollybus in the middle of that big avenue! (3) where do you live?!
Who said I did not like Russia or Russians ? Naughty , naughty !! Which person tried to tell you how you must live ? I can't find one !! Regardless , the question is not , Live as you like . It is , Live as you can afford . And unfortunately the planning/architecture is grim and we both know that it gets worse on the inside --- however nice the poor people may be .

Anatol , Stop pretending please . I am not someone who has spent seven days in Moscow and thinks he knows this country and its people as a result . I have stayed in Russian apartment blocks from Ekaterinburg to Moscow to St Petersburg . From Kaluga down to Krasdnodar and over to Sochi . I have followed the Volga and been in Saratov , Engels and Volgorad .And a few other places . Do I really need to say more .

May be Russia is not so good because when you traveled in Russia is was not vodka enough or any girl did not give sex to you? You are unhappy and it is not because of Russia. Perhaps your wife's unhappiness is her realisation that God could have kinder to her . Anyway , tell her a charming English gentleman sends her greetings . That will bring a smile to her face .
