There it is again, and the police are outnumbered, overwhelmed, and for some reason black criminals fight the police and try and run from arrest more than ANYONE. Then play the victim while people with no sense of logic or reason pander to them, that's why we're in this mess.

You on the Left never understand that what is effective in the long-term is "Crime and Punishment"! For decades we in the U. S. have allowed increasingly liberal court systems, criminal-advocacy groups like the ACLU, and 'touchy-feely' prison administrators to turn "Punishment" into little more than relatively short 'staycations' in gang 'hotels' with comforts, conveniences, entertainments -- and all in a "recreation-center" environment.

Example: "John Doe" robs a liquor store with a gun, gets caught, is convicted, and is sentenced to 10 years in prison. In reality, he knows that he'll never serve more than 3 - 5 years before he gets an 'early-out' and/or parole. He has no responsibility, doesn't have to work, gets three meals a day, and all services for free. He's got internet, TV, movies, computers, a library, and membership with similar creeps in his preferred prison gang-family. To a bottom-feeder criminal like that, what's there to fear...? What is the deterrent factor about American prisons?

Another example: "Joe Doe" gets a gun and for no obvious reason kills a dozen people. They arrest him and send him to the state mental health facility for 'evaluation' -- and after maybe two years, the mental health professionals decide that Joe needs to spend a while there in their comfortable hotel-environment that's even better than than the one they have in today's prisons! Again, where is the deterrent factor in being sent to a state 'nut-house'...?!

Crime and Punishment! If "Criminals and Crazies" are cultured for decades to believe that neither prisons nor 'nut-houses' are 'all that bad', then what we have is the perfect enabler for more and more crime! And what's the Democrat view? Why, that we need more 'social workers' and mental health theorists holding these perps' hands, while they tell the rest of us how many cartridges we should be allowed to have in our weapons of SELF-DEFENSE....
