Did you watch that Jeffries comedy? He made the point that in an age of muskets citizens could fight their govt,
but not now. No. Never. A few have tried. Didn't work out well for them. But as long as you can vote you are safe.
    Change govt often.
And just remember - that AR15 is just 'light arms' when the military come for you with A10's and Abrams.

Or just a coward looking for soft targets.. Lots coming out now on how law enforcement handled the shooter before and after the incident.. Seems the Police may have been cowards too..

Bottom line is, if cops are not willing to risk their lives for children then damned if I'd disarm myself hoping and relying on those cowards to protect me!

Well, skin color was used by the DP to identify and suppress the most serious challenge to its political survival.

Systematic effort was made during the whole period of Reconstruction to prevent Negroes from bearing arms. First, there was the demand that Negro Federal troops be immediately disbanded or moved from the South. Then the white militia searched Negro dwellings for arms and took them away.

"The militia organizations in the opposite country of South Carolina [Edgefield] were engaged in disarming the Negroes. This created great discontent among the latter, and in some instances, they had offered resistance. In previous inspecting tours in South Carolina much complaint reached me of the misconduct of these militia companies towards the blacks. Some of the latter of the most intelligent and well-disposed came to me and said: 'What shall we do? These militia companies are heaping upon our people every sort of injury and insult unchecked. Our people are peaceably inclined and we are endeavoring to inculcate good feeling; but we cannot bear this treatment much longer.' Many are beginning to say:

" 'We have been patient long enough. We are free men now, and we have submitted to such usage as long as we can.' And again they ask: 'What shall we do?' I assured them that this conduct was not sanctioned by the United States military authorities, and that it would not be allowed." 37”
BLACK RECONSTRUCTION IN AMERICA 1860- 1880, W.E.B. Dubois, introduction by David Levering Lewis, XVII THE PROPAGANDA OF HISTORY, the Free Press new York 1998. p. 689.

Unfortunately it was allowed. This would be a good time to fix that wrong.

The people, not the police, are the real "first responders" and the victims of crime.
It is past time to arm them up.

Sure, can't stop guns. But if you get six months for a crime, but 15 years for taking a gun to the crime
then it puts a real damper on owing a gun.
This graph of Australian firearm deaths is similar to the UK.

The Taliban and Viet Cong before them seemed to get pretty good results with mostly 'light arms'

Special penalties for those using a gun to commit a crime make sense.
Punishment for the mere possession of a gun is a serious human rights violation and anti-American.

I'm watching Beck off and on this morning, he tells of one women/parent being hand cuffed by a deputy for bitching about them getting in there and saving the children. She finally talked a local PO to have the cuffs removed and when they were she rushed the fence climbed over and entered the school pulling her two children out..

Like I say lots to come how screwed up this was. Also hear that the gunman shot at a funeral long close to the school after running his car in to a ditch and then merrily walked "Long gun" in hand to the school where he mulled around for 12 minutes before entering and starting his killing spree..

Ya stupidity seems to rule supreme in all this mass shootings!!

IOW, the public should always be armed and ready to respond first, instantly to violent criminals.
The police? Too little too late. The LEOs ended up providing security for the deadly little psycho squirt and enabled his killing spree.

I know I feel more comfortable knowing I can address a situation with at least the same level of protection as the criminal has force!

A person did this. Why not have the courage to blame the perpetrator of the crime?

Sorry it has to be that way, but logic screams just that.. People that avoid that one fact only argue disingenuously and in my opinion are only looking to incite and nothing more.. Most only use these scenarios to feed their desire inflame and really care little for adding anything positive..

Look at the leader, it's always more about their tiny little country and never a word about the actual victims in all this!!

So obvious!! Like the old saying misery loves company, they gave theirs up, now they want us all to be just as miserable..

No, most criminals don't want 15 years in jail for a crime that carries 2 years without a gun. And most crims don't want the death penalty.
Check out some graphs on gun deaths in England - it's like Australia and Japan: going down, down, down.

You're out of touch! For starters, their criminals, and they take advantage and they take risk! How ridiculous does one have to be to think a criminal committing a crime is going to worry about prison time lolololol

I have already posted how many illegal firearms are circulating in your neck of the woods, so please be honest about it

Given the example of Ukraine a rational interpretation of the 2nd amendment would require every adult American citizen to have quick access to RPGs. A people who are threatened by Big Government need more guns -- not less.

    The Inconvenient Truth:

“LONDON -- A surge of stabbings in London was blamed Monday for the city overtaking New York's monthly murder tally for the first time in modern history. Fifteen people were murdered in London during February, compared to 14 in New York, according to police figures.

The British capital also suffered 22 fatal stabbings and shootings in March, higher than the 21 in New York. There have been 10 fatal stabbings in London in the last 19 days, following on from the 80 fatal stabbings recorded in the city last year.”

The ****? No, criminals do not have any gun rights. If you're a felon you lose the right, when you commit a crime with one the penalty is automatically upgraded. You should have thought that one out.

It remains so that there is no constitutional right to hunt. It's simply is not mentioned in the constitution.
I'm not seeing you disputing this, so you are conceding.

While we all know that the GOP has been corrupted to support the gun manufacturers without a care in the world wat the people want.
And the GOP has packed the Supreme Court with their Yes-men. And here you are basically saying "but the Yes-men appointed by them corrupt politicians have an opinion".

    well well....
