Halabja (Kurdish: هه(*)ڵه(*)بجه‎ Helebce), is a Kurdish town in autonomous Kurdistan region , located about 150 miles (240 km) north-east of Baghdad and 810 miles from the Iranian border. The town lies at the base of what is often referred to as the greater Hewraman region stretching across the Iran-Iraq border.
