It's quite clear they were one of the best teams in the country last year. Your track record of predictions isn't particularly strong. Last year you said TCU would get killed by Wisconsin (they won) and this year you said Georgia would maul BSU. The only part of that prediction correct was the word maul. That said, I do think Bama and LSU are clearly the better teams this year. The rest of the SEC, not so much. Boise would be favored on a neutral field against every other SEC team and win easily.

This year I agree they would win big. Maul? No. But they'd win by 14 or a little less. Last year's Boise team was better than this year. But if they did play the loser of this weekends game in a bowl and beat them the BCS apologists wouldn't be able to make up excuses fast enough for the loss. Much like when Bama got their heads staved in by Utah "oh they didn't play that hard." Or "they were upset because they lost the opportunity to play in a title game." Or my personal favorite, "they lost because their offensive lineman didn't play."

Incorrect. Boise has played in two of the highest rated college games in ESPN history. They get huge ratings. The big schools are scared of Boise because they know they'd have their hands full and a loss would end their season.

I agree completely. If they beat BSU, everyone says , "of course you did". If they lose their season is done. If they were an easy team to beat, with how they are ranked lately, all schools would be jumping on such an easy boost to their AP standings.

Exactly, the SEC has no problem playing directional Alabama or the Cub Scouts so it isn't about money.

Did I read this correctly, are you stating that Boise St. is like a "local high school team"? Now isn't that a wonderful cocktail of arrogance & ignorance. I submit that, outside of LSU & Alabama, BSU is as good as or better than, any other team in the country. So does that make every other team in the country a "local high school team"?
If LSU & Alabama are so unbeatable, you should be running to Vegas to become a millionaire by the end of the season.
But, if you know anything about sports history, you know that the sports world is littered with "unbeatable" & "overwhelming favorite" teams that crashed & burned before they won championships: 1985 Georgtown; 2009 Patriots; the Phillies this year & the Phillies, Red Sox and Yankees many other years; Kansas basketball every year, except for the one year when they did win; 1984 Nebraska(losing to Miami). It's a very long list.
Like I've stated, LSU & Alabama are the two best teams in the country, but really, perspective is needed.

    you speak with incorrect facts

my posts this year stated that I had no clue why GA was even ranked

I'm actually shocked by GA's record but then again the SEC east is down right now and Big east teams would probably beat them

you are correct about TCU last year but I'm no big 10 fan as they are weak.

I think it's great that you support BSU. They do deserve respect in theri small pond for being the big fish.

As I said before, you would be doing a dis-service to have BSU play Bama or LSU. It would set the program back. BSU is better with the fantasy than having reality exposed.

TCU had a legit team last year. They had a sick defense and were one of only 13 teams in college football that had 5 players drafted to the NFL. Saying TCU or Wisconsin was weak last year is nonsense. Wisconsin probably had the best offensive line in college football last year, sending 4 offensive lineman to the NFL along with a first round DE.

That's an early line I just saw. I don't buy it - I'll be very surprised if it doesn't drop. I like LSU to win, not just to cover.

at the end of the season, there will be either an undefeated LSU and a 1 loss Bama or an undefeated Bama and a 1 loss LSU

why shouldn't those teams be the teams in the BCS championship game?

Because assuming that Oklahoma State and/or Stanford goes unbeaten, the better matchup would be an unbeaten SEC team versus an unbeaten Pac-12 or Big 12 team.

BTW - You know if Missouri joins the SEC, we're going to have three Tigers in the SEC?

Isn't every regular season game "like a playoff game", as the BCS defenders tell us? Well, this game is like a playoff game & the loser, especially if it's Alabama(since this game is in 'Bama & they're favored) should be knocked out. Unless all that's left are one loss teams to choose from, LSU, if it loses, should be out also.
On the flip side, why should whoever wins this game be made to play the other team again? This goes especially for LSU, since they will have beaten the Tide in Alabama.

if you are talking about most of the SEC then I'd agree with you. Unfortunately there is only 1 SEC and then there are the rest of the conferences.

I fully support a playoff or tournament. There's no reason why the 2 best teams should not play each other for the championship even if they are both from the SEC West.

Wow, I did not realize they were favored. I have watched both teams play, and would have given a slight edge to LSU.

Either way, it should be an exciting game.

Or you could have the Alabama nightmare.

They beat LSU and lose to Auburn...it could happen.

I don't count on it but the Iron Bowl is probably the hardest game in the NCAA to predict.

After what the 'Bama fan did to the two live oak trees at Toomer's Corner - Auburn is going to be looking for blood against Alabama.

November 26th is going to be brutal for Alabama, you can bet the farm on it.

I'll state the point again - Why should LSU, should they win this game in Alabama, be made to play & win a rematch with the Tide on a neutral field, in order to win the Nat Title? Now, if Alabama beats LSU, by say 3 points or less, I can maybe buy them(LSU) getting another shot on a neutral field. But I don't buy a rematch if LSU wins, I don't think it's fair to LSU and I'm not even getting into if there are other undefeated teams.

I think this is not a farfetched scenario. It wouldn't surprise me at all.
