I'm a geologist. I know more about it that you ever will.

I don't care what you are. Being a geologist doesn't tell me why oil and gas prices are lower. Tell that to someone who doesn't know any better.

huh? you don't get to make that statement. sorry bub.

Why don't you first post your evidence that there is a risk as you state.

    I just did.

Pull your head out of your arse and look around. The risk is clear. Or do you honestly believe that you live in a vacuum?

Reminds me of Atlantis... But, it's also just a 7.7 square mile island so it can be expected. It's also very narrow.

No proof has been established that climate change is the primary cause for rising sea levels, but itÂ’s expected that many countries will continue to make similar claims as Kiribati.

And I just told you you can't so? Play ping pong?

I do look around, I see today what I've seen for fifty years. So tell me what it is I'm supposed to see different?

LOL, nice someone took pictures after a typhoon of water on land, but in between the inland water and the ocean is well land. How can it be underwater and still have land between the inland water and the ocean? Come on bub. Have you seen the picture of Venice under water in 2012, sixth worse flood in its history, but that's all it was a flood. We have them in Chicago, and we're only near the great lakes. They are lower than they were 30 years ago. Guess where the water comes from? arhhhhhhhh look water, I live on an island at 10 foot sea level. hahahahahahahaha

Do you think their President is lying? Watch the video of their President explaining what is going on. I don't think he was referring to one storm; http://mic.com/articles/92751/an-en...ng-to-evacuate-before-it-sinks-into-the-ocean

There is one thing in that video too that confirms with 100% accuracy that the sea is in fact rising on the Islands. The old mans son claimed the Coconuts were not as big as they once were. There is a reason for this. The reason they are smaller is from sedimentation of more water pushing inland. The more sedimentation you have the less nutrients there are to provide the tress the capacity to have full-sized Coconut. It's really very simple to confirm the reality of rising seas.

dude they're only 10 feet sea level. A sunami wipes them out. wouldn't you be a little nervous? Why don't they leave then if they are so afraid? The fact is, you used a doctored photo to make a sea level rise point. And you admit that by your email reply to me. There just isn't any justice in the warmers scare tactic. none. Thinking you could attempt to scare someone and feel good about it with a liar's post. But you're caught bubba.

Regardless. Do you think it's from ice bergs melting? If so, do you think the levels of water have risen that high in other places or just there on that 7.7 square mile island?

No one is caught but you. The evidence is right there and cannot be denied. The one small clue about the Coconuts being smaller as a result of sedimentation proves without any doubt that the water is rising, and the Coconut trees are starving for nutrients because of the excess sedimentation. That is all we need to know. We need a cause and we need a result. And we have both. So the deny party on this forum will just have to accept reality. It is what it is.

Those Islands are some of the lowest to sea level on the planet, which is why they will be the first to go.

My wife grew up in the mountains of Chile and she said most of the Glacier ice that used to be there is now gone. I think you are fully capable of answering your own question. Where has that water gone?

What evidence are you referring to? The link you provided? you just admitted it wasn't to show sea level rise. sorry dude. You did the pity reply about the president. Like that was to give evidence. Funny how the inland water wasn't your concern right? That was your point, and you're found to be a liar as I already stated. Sorry but you Lose.

wow, dude, really, still working the island? hahahahahahahaha, you were proven wrong, move on. Any glacier melt melted. so what. You first provide me evidence it went anywhere. again, your little island didn't see it.

True... They just had a cyclone hit in March 2015. Cyclone Pam I believe.

It's right there around Tabuaeran and Jarvis Island. All three are extremely small and one whale splash could cover them up.

LOL, except for the facts, you might have something.

Pacific islands 'growing not shrinking' due to climate change

You have been taken in by the politics of a small nation sucking on the teat of big money. What they are preparing for is what the alarmists have told them, not actual observed science.

    Speaking of Chile...

However, I don't think the bergs melted and rose the sea level up high enough to pull an island under water.

Wow, it barely rose a tenth of a meter, lol... So much for melted bergs.

sea levels were rising progressively and consistently, even when temps were not.

Exactly!...in 46 years the weather has been consistent in Tampa FL. What should I be looking for which should make me pause with concern? ...so far I got nothing!
