Well, the NCAA Tournament is set, and I haven't seen any other prediction threads started, so I'm jumping in.... here are my Final Four predictions:

    East: North Carolina (1)
    South: Maryland (5)

    West: Oklahoma (2)
    Mid-West: Michigan State (2)

Final: Maryland over Michigan State (Big 10 Fans Rejoice!)

Maryland was my pre-season pick, and I'm sticking with them till the end.

Good call! *L* I had hunch they'd give Baylor a good run, but I had already picked UNI to beat Texas, and it seemed to much of a stretch to pick Yale. Shows me... always go with your gut!
My upset pick for the next round is UConn over Kansas.

Michigan State is toast. Burnt toast actually. :omg:

Northern Iowa worst choke job in the history of the Big Dance. How anybody can blow a 12 point lead with only 35 seconds left is totally incomprehensible.

I liked Indiana coming into the tournament to make some noise. They've done so already by taking out Kentucky. Not sure they can take UNC, but I think they'll give them a good game.

I'm still picking Kansas to win it all. They're the deepest and most talented team, thus why they received the overall #1 seed.

Back in the 1980s I easily won all the office pools we had for the NCAA finals.

Then starting around 1990 I became an absolute JINX! Every time I predict that a team will win, it invariably loses. Therefore, I won't dare make any more predictions.

*L* See? You and Obama can agree on one thing..... you both picked Kansas over UNC. (Gutsy call *rme*)

Tell me truthfully - did you pick Middle Tennessee over Michigan State?
I agree that Indiana/UNC is going to be a good game.

*LOL* No use getting older if you don't get wiser, right?

I think I'm catching your jinx..... first round I was 27/32... second, 8/16..... now in the Sweet Sixteen I'm already 1/4.

I forgot to answer this one.... That was crazy - I had UNI going to Sweet Sixteen and then that happened.... still though, they had a good run for an 11 seed. That post-game press conference was hard to watch, though:

I would likely have better luck in predicting the color of Muffet McGraw's 5 inch spikes:

She has a closet full of spikes of various colors and wears them to inspire her players to achieve greater heights in their game.

*L* That's the lost chapter of "A Season on the Brink" .... Knight wobbled up the floor on his 4-inch stillettos, the fact that they pinched his toes didn't help his mood.... "Thomas - if you don't box out that rebound I'm going to drive this God*amned spike so far up your a*s your ear doctor is going to think your name is Manolo Blahnik!"
