2020 Presidntual debates: Predictions

Right up to the point they hash out her incarceration rate for minorities

 

That's what entertainment is all about, addressing a mixed audience and having them all find enjoyment in the final production

 

They do that now. And once something's debunked they resurrect it years later and start it all over again. It gets added to a playbook of repeated failure practiced by those too dim to change-up their game.

 

To the victor goes the sequel. To the loser, all the backbiting, acrimony and blame. If Biden loses, Netflix will charter six epic 5-part mini-serials on why evil forces overcame good. HBO will examine the sex lives of people Biden never heard of. They'll whine forever. Or until the next outrage gives them a new topic to get wrong.

As probable as all the hysteria that at the last moment the DNC would nominate Hillary Clinton on Andrew Cuomo or all other ridiculous conspiracy theories.

The debates will proceed as scheduled.

As for expectations I'll say the debates will be low quality, shouting matches, with each candidate interrupting the other, lots of lies and hyperboles being told, and at the end Trump supporters will continue to support Trump and Biden supporters will continue to support Biden.

One thing I do expect, though: the claim that Biden is demented will be debunked. But other than that I don't expect the debates to change a lot.

He's old. Of fracking COURSE he takes drugs! And so does Trump. It was an empty shot. Talkin' trash to see who bites. Libs do that a LOT with The Donald!

 

The idea that Biden will try or would have tried to back out is just wishful thinking of the part of his opponents who continue to harbor the illusion that Biden is demented and will be a babbling fool in the debates. You all most likely didn't watch his one-on-one with Sanders. Biden showed that he is anything but demented, and is perfectly comfortable debating.

You guys didn't get the memo... The Trump Campaign is walking back like crazy all the hype that Biden is demented... they realize now that they set his bar too low and it will look quite ridiculous on them when it's clear that he isn't as impaired as they keep hoping for, with out-of-context, edited clips. Now they are saying he is a fine debater and should do well because he's done it many times in his long political career, trying to set the bar higher (too late).

But it seems like it hasn't filtered down to the faithful yet... that you're in for disappointment if you think that Biden will appear demented.

 

Wow. You're really buying the idea that he's demented, huh? And you seem to have a very romantic opinion of what anti-dementia drugs can do... LOL. At best they delay by 6 months the progression of dementia but they don't restore anything, and they don't change a cognitive performance in a given day.

Don't you realize that this is all a talking point? Biden is far from as demented as you think, and this will be clear in these debates.

By the way he isn't going against someone who is that articulate either. You guys like to edit clips and make Biden look worse than he is, but two can play this game:

 

I heard that Biden was doing debate prep, but the president is not.

Just as much as the right wing media will call Trump the winner even if he pees on himself and has a stroke in the middle of the debate.

I remember the Biden-Ryan debate. You can find articles at the time from left wing media saying Biden moped the floor with Ryan, and articles from right wing media saying the Ryan mopped the floor with Biden.

 

The time is drawing near. Make a fool out of yourself -- Everyone should make a prediction.

 

I predict that anytime a question is too hard, the candidates will revert to a part of their stump speech.

 

Biden's meds were working well during the Sander's debate and also Sanders was obeying DNC orders to lose to Biden.

 

Actually there's plenty that can be done to med Biden into resembling a capable politician again on a very temporary basis and if you are not particularly worried about the health effects; and quite obviously Biden's health is not a real concern to the people practicing the art of elder abuse on him.

For starters the Dems will hire whoever did Nixon's makeup for Trump. Lighting will be out of a Halloween show designed to make DJT look like he eats kittens. The sound on his microphone will be tinny and heartless and Biden's warm and inviting (a simple EQ tweak).

Biden will have been provided and has rehearsed all the questions and has practiced the TelePrompter reading to avoid prior mistakes. The circus is in town and it's now or never to get his act together.

 

I can see here debating better even though she is cookoo. Pence is pretty predictable and inside the box, but perhaps that the consequence of being so principled.

 

Pray tell, what exactly? What meds, what doses? What do you know about the treatment of dementia? This should be entertaining, I'm waiting.
