So, the Corona virus cases have passed the 3 million mark and those in the U.S. are ~1 million as I'm writing this text.

    https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/

    But what does that mean?
As comrade Stalin once said, "the death of one is tragedy, the death of millions is just statistics".

1 million cases in the US, with a population of 330+million, that's what percentage? :confuse: ;)

The more we spread it around as we see deaths per million dropping, the BETTER!

We also have over 25% of all those who have died from the virus worldwide.

We probably have the highest nursing home population.

1,000,000 confirmed. Rest assured the actual infection rate is way higher... which is actually good news when compared to fatalities.

56k is roughly 7 days worth’s of normal deaths in America based on the averages. Happily we’ve not seen the doom and gloom predicted by some on here. Looking like we will end well south of 100k dead which is a awesome thing.

Like many times in history this country got a sucker punch and took a step back, then gathered herself and came back into the fight and whipped ass :)

It would nice if this had been THE "sucker punch".

But in the history of disease, this could also just be the overture of this Opera.

I haven't heard the fat lady sing, so I am not going to open up my preps quite yet.

4% of the world population, but 30% of cases! Are we tired of winning yet?

30% of confirmed cases. We've tested much more and we're not lying about our numbers.

    Spot on!

Now do you see why lefties were so desperate for testing?

    More testing=more confirmed cases

    More confirmed cases=america bad

    America bad=orange man bad

Lefty logic folks, it isn't rocket science.

Dec 7th The Japs attacked Peral Harbor, 4 days latter Germany declared war on America. That was the week America had in 1941. That generation pulled themselves off up off the ground and proceeded to take care of both their enemies. Let's hope we do not see anything after this but if we do we will deal with it as well.

We will be in a better position to do so if we open the economy now and start getting back on our feet IMO. But places like NJ are on indefinite lockdown, not even a plan to reopen by a set date. Talk about surrendering...

Driving is highly restricted and regulated for exactly that reason. Why wouldn't restrictions and regulations be appropriate for something causing more deaths in a shorter time period?

We didn't test much more. Per capita, we tested much less than other developed nations:

    https://www.statista.com/statistics/1104645/covid19-testing-rate-select-countries-worldwide/

I realize, however, that Trump land is conflicted about the importance of testing. Initially, they deemed testing unimportant, because it would show higher case numbers (bad for Trump), and they didn't want to highlight the lack of US testing capacity (bad for Trump). Now, they are not sure if they should switch over to take the position of more testing is good, because it may lower the denominator in the death rate equation, thus reducing apparent death rates (good for Trump). Must be difficult to have to chose between conflicting positions when the over-riding incentive for choosing a position is not whether it is the right thing to do, but rather whether it makes Trump look good or bad.

So much better than the projected 30 million sick and 2 million deaths projected just a month ago.

WITH a lockdown, which Trump is chomping at the bit to get rid of, so he can save his magical Trump economy for November. Or so he thinks.

Which the DNC is stuggling to keep shut down exclusively so that they have even a faint hope of getting senile Joe Biden elected. Ironically the DNC hopes to accomplish that by blaming Trump for the ecomic consequences of the shut down they THEY . . . demanded. Their MSM propagana outlets are going to have to work overtime to convince thinking people that Trump is responsible for the cynical political actions of the Left's leadership.

If we were a shithole society like China, kicking the ricedung out of violators, and welding violators into their homes we would be doing better.

But alas, the USA is a very free and open society.

... and 56,933 Americans died due to the Coronavirus, almost as many as in the Vietnam War.
The Donald shares responsibility for that tragedy. :(
I hope a prosecutor will deal with him soon.
