Yea, a private business with their own rules and guidelines decided to enforce them and removed Infowars from their platform -- I guess that is communist to a Trump supporter, so be it.

Question #1: Is Sandy Hook a hoax, yes or no?
I don't want to hear any other excuses or attempts to say "Alex was just posing the question" -- none of that, a simple yes or no will suffice.

Question #2: Is PizzaGate real? Yes or no

Again, I don't want to hear anything about "Alex was just kidding" -- is the story real, yes or no

Question #3: Who is stopping Alex Jones from creating his own platform?

If you still have access to go to Alex's site to hear his daily delusions, what's the problem?
Alex can also still sell you his fake supplements, hell, he can launch his own TV station as long as the free market supports it -- that is what capitalism is ain't it?

Facebook hasn't banned Farrakhan, a virulent racist and bigot. Twitter hasn't banned Sarah Jeong, a virulent racist and sexist (but did ban Candace Owens for mimicking Jeongs posts, but replacing "white people" with "jewish people" to make a point).

I have absolutely no regard for anyone who claims that Sandy Hook did not happen or was staged. I live 18-22 minute drive from Newtown Ct and I will remember what I was doing the minute I heard about Sandy Hook until the day I die just as I recall JFK assasination and 9-11.

I use YouTube a lot, especially their instructional videos, such has how to gut a game animal, how to field strip a firearm, etc.

Censorship is very important when one is trying to control speech and thought. YouTube practices censorship because it wishes to control speech and thought.

So many americans support censorship that it might be said we deserve censorship. We think as we are told.

imo Jones has little appeal, and what appeal he has is to only a very few. But even if he had broad appeal he shouldn't be censored -- just as all the nuts who are interviewed on Coast to Coast radio shouldn't be censored.

 

Yes, it's a private business and they call the shots. But think about this, cell phone companies are also private businesses, should they be able to deny service to those they disagree with? How about bakeries?

I don't recall if this applies to you, but I remember a lot of people on this board crying a First Amendment foul when many of us were critical of the NFL kneelers while the left was citing their 1A rights. At least you agree the kneelers have no such rights (if the business owners decide they don't exist while the players are on their time and representing them)

Also, if youtube continues to shut down voices they don't agree with then they're leaving a business opportunity for someone who won't.

Jones can now do what plenty of others do, get his own server up and running and post his videos there. I'll admit I've never seen one of his videos before, but that's the way it goes.

 

If true, then why ban what is acknowledged as tongue in cheek entertainment? If it is the equivalent of satire, why ban it? If it shows Jones to be a crackpot, why worry about it? Will they be going after Pro Wrestling next? We can rest assured they -won't- be going after and banning hateful anti-Trump propagandists like MSM show hosts.

Regardless of what anyone thinks about Jones and his programming, this is the -best- way to enlarge his audience and give him some "cool factor" he may not have had. Do you think people won't want to see "that guy that got banned from FB/youtube?" and won't just pull it up elsewhere?

The big question is why this right now 3 months before an important midterm? I know why, and agree with others. It's going to backfire. The only people who care about Alex Jones are TDS sufferers who get enraged by it. No one else gives a damn... until he gets censored. Now he's a "cause" instead of a farce.

And if you're into such things, you can learn on youtube how to hack programs such as Photoshop, Windows, Office, etc in order to not pay for them. Taking the high road means more than singling out one specific person for no other reason than you don't like his views.
