Any thoughts on blackout 300 or 8.6 for hunting? Has anyone tried? I obviously want something silent and hard enough hitting to take down foxes and muntjac. I think both of these rounds might do the job. Is 8.6 going to take down a full blown buck? Does any one have any experiences? What ranges are they effective at? Is the drop manageable in terms of accuracy? Is the price or availability of ammo an issue and so on.. Any thoughts to share or experience of the calibre appreciated.
Dumb question here, are you planning on shooting subs? My .300 BO is my intruder repellent with subs and a can. I can’t speak for fmj at deer over around 150lbs, but it should be fine. Cost is coming down really slowly.
