A police officer, a good guy with a gun, was at the Mall for an unrelated issue, heard the shots, and quickly acted to neutralize the active shooter. It could have been a lot worse.
Hi, Trixare4kids. It is true that no matter how large the tragedy, it could always have been worse. An irreplaceable life was cut short. That is a tragedy. Regards, stay safe 'n well 'n un-shot.
Who said it wasn't a tragedy? What makes you feel sadder than say, me? I will say it again, and don't really care if you like it or not, but if that particular policeman were not on the scene quickly due to an unrelated call, this would have been a lot worse. The maniac was heavily armed, and came to that mall to KILL as many as he could. It's a tragedy no matter what, but it could have been worse.
Hi again, Trixare4kids. There's nothing to like or not like about your statement. It is true and factual. In addition, I doubt that either those on the right or those on the left would have serious reservations to an armed police force. Regards, good night, and best wishes to you and yours.
It's the crazy, suicidal losers with guns, people. Anyone who would commit a crime like this doesn't care about living or the living. Why do these people feel so hateful, lost, hopeless? If we can find out why they do, and ways to help them or stop them, we might prevent most of these mass killings.
In Allen, as per usual, the "good guy with a gun" was hiding (no surprise but that is natural) and it was left to the police, one of a group that no one has a problem being armed, ended the shooting
They keep going off on their own and murdering people. or maybe it’s the people doing these murders. Unless you have evidence it wasn’t people of course.
Your post was enough. Blaming the item is pedantic, but here we are. Wait, are we back to blaming the person responsible yet?
Sure thing. Odd, they only seem to act up in the hands of certain people, but let’s not overcomplicate this. I look forward to your thread about forks making people fat, but that’s another day.
you should follow that advice-your comment that it was the guns is pretty much the nadir on this thread in terms of intellectual responses
every day, every post, it becomes more obvious that to them it is all about banning guns, not making anyone safer
And you think your proposed social programs and laws would be able to do much better? I think part of this is the long term consequences of illegal immigration. The gift that keeps on giving. The thing is, they have children, and since the parents are usually gone all day working, in low paying jobs struggling to pay expensive costs of rent in Democrat areas, their offspring are latchkey kids, grow up without parental supervision. And when someone is raised in poverty and with barely any parental supervision, that is not good.
I also find it interesting how when a white person commits murder it becomes wall-to-wall national news, but when someone else commits a murder, it's usually not worthy of news coverage, outside that local area (and even then the coverage is often pretty scant). And then there are idiots stupid enough to think to what they see in the news represents an accurate perception of overall reality. Fact: Illegal immigration has led to 10 times more homicides (AT LEAST) than all mass shootings. But to some people, implementing new harsh gun control laws makes more sense than enforcing the border.
