It's a moment that highlights the stark differences between how the two presumptive nominees make decisions, with Trump's unfolding like a reality show and Clinton's taking place almost entirely in secret before her expected announcement late next week. List 1. Tim Kaine 2. Sherrod Brown 3. Cory Booker 4. Tom Vilsack 5. Elizabeth Warren http://www.cnn.com/2016/07/14/politics/hillary-clinton-vice-president-choice/index.html Out of this list I think Cory Booker will be her pick. He'll help the most where she is weak with her base. Warren would help with Bernie supporters but I don't think Clinton is interested in having another woman on the ticket. Who do you think she'll pick? If you think someone not on the list would be better throw their name out.
I honestly wish Clinton would pick Warren. Warren acts as a attack dog - similar to how Christie would act if Christie were picked as Trump's VP, Warren gets under Trump's thin skin, and easily strikes a nerve, leading Trump to making a tweet he later has to flip flop on. Warren could also help to bring in the disenfranchised Bernie voters who would not vote for Clinton otherwise. The important young voter block neither Trump or Clinton have bagged right now. Warren brings an energy, and a passion that would be a incredible asset to Clinton's campaign. Nothing but pros having Warren running as a VP. If we can look past Trump's bait and switch scam (aka Trump University), we can surely look past something as benign as Warren's Native American white lie.
Hillary needs the black vote to win this. She must pick a Negro that will get the millions of Blacks off their ass to vote for one of them, like Obama did.
I disagree. It's not just a black vote thing but youth as well in 2008 they all did the voting thing and elected the black guy. There is nothing cool or hip about Hillary and adding another 68 year old woman to the ticket doesn't add any extra excitement A black VP is not reason enough to energize the idle. Hillary will have a voter turnout issue The Democrat party will need the illegal and deceased vote and in big numbers this time.
I think trump could boost Hispanic turn out enough that it may not matter. But it remains to be seen, the clintons have strong support in the black community, plus she'll have Obama campaigning for her.
She should be truthful and pick Thomas Farley, President of the Stock Exchange. It would make it easier for him to give Hillary her daily work assignments.
What could be more attractive to people than listening to two malcontent angry old women ranting about how we must listen to them and do what they demand?
It's the new America. If Hillary wants to win she has to pick a non white, gay or transgender freak to get the young vote.
I disagree, by picking Warren it would open her up to "she's playing the woman card" attacks constantly. The optics aren't as good with her. Warren is better on the stump than Hillary. She runs the risk of looking weak against another strong woman.
Booker has the correct skin tone to please Black Democrats. He is also a disciple of Obama whom he worships.
Booker will be the pick. He is young, he is black and while not as ideological as Obama, he is just as corrupt as Hilary.
The "woman card" attacks, much like the attacks and names Trump has used, would be a pathetic move on behalf of the Republicans. Tell me then, who do you think would be best at rounding up the Bernie followers?
I don't think Bernie would be able to pull them all in because of Hillary is still at the top of the ticket. The point about the "woman card" is it plays much better against two women than one. Another problem with Warren is Hillary will be compared to her more than a male VP selection. Warren doesn't sound as robotic as Hillary and soon the meme will be Warren's better than Hillary. I'll stick with my original choice of Booker. I think he does the most for her.
Trump as the nominee hurts Castro's chances (unfortunately). No need to motivate Hispanics this time out, Trunp already did that.
