Over the recent years, I've come to notice how the education people receive in school- relative to being in the worlds premier nation- is laughable. Among these things, the history taught is god-awful. I knew this, but it seems with every passing month I am shocked by the extent of what I didn't know or what was misrepresented.

But the problem goes way beyond that simplicity. And it shows how we are, largely, ignorant of our own past and ourselves as Americans.

This is an article from another site most people probably know already. It is comedy, but it is also truth and it should be embarrassing. My sentiment slid from "Why aren't they teaching this?" to "How best to decapitate them all."

It was very interesting. Don't think i had ever heard 96% of the Massachusetts native population was wiped out by plague, that native's had cleared much of the land, or that white's leaving colonies to live with native's was a threat at the time.

 

Many people in America are oblivious to real descriptions of History.
