This a powerful one with several aftershocks around magnitude 5. And having roads, gas and water pipes destroyed in the middle of the winter is no fun. May God be with those Alaskans.

I've never been in an earthquake.

    You are lucky.
The anger of mother Earth is no joke. When you don't know if the building would collapse over you... As they say, earthquakes don't kill people, collapsing buildings do. But even if you are out there in the open, the rumbling and shaking of the ground is scary.

That would be sick, serious earthquake when you're in an open field somewhere. Knowing you're not in any danger, just feeling the force of nature.

Imagine 50,000 years ago, you would have thought the sky was falling.

Same with fire. First bloke who made fire would think he just discovered legit magic. He is now a wizard.

Dutchsense didn't pinpoint the earthquake this time, but he did say a powerful one would occur since there had been a strong deep one in the S. Pacific. That's where they start as they head east and west around the 'cratons' and end at the Atlantic ridge. The shallow one is always at least one point higher. He believed it would hit Japan within 10 days and he warned them, but it didn't and hit Alaska and on the 10th day. He considers it a miss, but he's usually accurate in his foreca.

Now the magma will proceed down the west coast and there will be earthquakes but not as powerful.

Dutchsense is usually quite accurate, and predicts the magma will be travelling down the West Coast, but the earthquakes will not be as powerful.

Women to blame for earthquakes, says Iran cleric
Women behaving promiscuously are causing the earth to shake, according to cleric, as Ahmadinejad predicts Tehran quake

A senior Iranian cleric says women who wear revealing clothing and behave promiscuously are to blame for earthquakes.

Well the Iranian cleric is right there will be an Earthquake in Iran, and another one, and another one, and another one. Iran is on a very active fault.

As for it being the women that are causing the earthquakes, I beg to differ. It's the men.

I agree, they always blame someone else.

This doesn't hold water in the "infidel" world (Dar ul Harb). ;)
