Your original post with the link didn't say anything about race. It said "The gunman was described as a bearded man in his 40s wearing a red hoodie". You adding in the race from your own bias? Is this like calling George Zimmerman white even though he was Latino?

It has nothing to do with a 7 year old being armed. My point was that the 2nd amendment makes no mention of certain people who the constitution does not apply to. Imagine if a convicted felon lost the right to a fair trial, or could be subjected to cruel and unusual punishment, the ACLU would be all over it in a heartbeat, but take away the right to own a firearm and nobody says a word.
By taking away the right to own a firearm means it was never a right in the first place, as rights can't be taken away. That leaves the door open to say that freedom of speech or of peaceable assembly is not a right and can be revoked should a politician find it convenient.

Something seems odd about this story.
Looks like there was only a driver in the car. It's pretty hard to shoot from driver position, unless you approach from the slow lane position, but then it's hard to tell who is in the car.
I'm almost thinking that we were not good the whole story.
Also the beard disappeared and the sketch has too much of a detail, something that I doubt you will notice when being shot at.

In Washington State, you have to have a permit. You don't have a permit, your gun is illegal. Illinois and Maryland require gun registration; but more people die in drive-by shootings in Chicago and Baltimore than in mass shootings in the whole of US. It is dishonest to rale about mass shootings without mentioning hand gun violence. In Chicago, in 2018, almost 3000 people died in shootings with guns. You can be sure that most of those were committed with illegal, unregistered guns. Contrarily, 307 people died in mass shootings. How many of those guns were legal?

They were not all legal when purchased. What a crock! At least 260,000 guns stolen every year. You want legal gun owners to disarm so their legal guns won't be stolen in home invasions and robberies? No way!

If people did not leave their guns just lying around as if they were toys for any intruder to pick up then they would not have been stolen. And 260,000 guns being stolen every year points to many irresponsible gun owners, and clearly those guns were quite useless as a means of defense against intruders
