What causes me doubts about your point is that the poles in the second video appear to be thicker, even more, if the video is old, then the poles are made of a heavy iron construction,. Like older cars metal sheet compared with new ones, the poles around the Pentagon appear to be thinner and of a lighter construction, but it is only my appreciation.

But surely my concern about your second video is that the airplane appears to have "an emergency landing", this is to say, the airplane has reduced its speed in order to land.

On the other hand, the airplane that hit the Pentagon didn't slow its speed but apparently did the contrary.

The difference is that speed changes the result of the impacts.

See, use a piece of paper and slowly pass its long edge over your arm and the paper will be bent, but do it the faster you can and the paper will bent less and probably will cut your skin. The speed of the airplane of the second video was so slow that the wings of the vehicle just broke like fractured bones, but I don't think that the same will happen if an airplane hits the same poles at a more higher speed.

 

Wooden poles are not 'designed' at all. They're tree trunks-solid timber, cut to a uniform diameter and length. Furthermore wood varies in density and structure. There is no guaranteed uniformity of density or strength in a tree trunk. You can have two identical pieces of timber; one might be very dry and well-seasoned, the other green timber. They will each react to stresses very differently, but as far as I'm aware telegraph poles aren't 'designed' to break away or deflect upon impact.

If he were in court I'd imagine it would go like this:
