We have about 100 years worth of operating knowledge of systems that cycle over hundreds of thousands and millions of years.

You have no idea what caused the planet to fluctuate, prior to man ever being a speck on the geologic time scale, from thousands of CO2 ppm and 90+ degrees average temps, to glaciers miles deep covering the planet, and back again.

    Follow the money.

All of the corrupting bribe money goes to the denier side, thus all of the fraud and garbage pseudoscience comes from the denier side.

The reputable scientists could instantly doubloe their salaries by hopping on the denier fraud machine (see: Willie Soon or Judith Curry), but they don't. They effectively take a voluntary pay cut to hold position, which gives them even more crediblity.

Again, "BUT I DON'T PERSONALLY UNDERSTAND, SO IT MUST WRONG!" is not a valid argument. Other people _do_ understand, being that it's not that complicated.

    No, they don't understand it.

They have theories that they cannot possibly test is what they have.

Outside of ice cores we have modern data maybe dating back to the 80's or so.

Beyond that, all they have is conjecture about what was happening to the planet millions of years ago.

Basic things like orbital patterns, sun activity, etc is a complete ****ing mystery.

How the planet has behaved in the last 100 years, or even 10,000 years of our written record comprising the totality of human knowledge, is useless in a task understanding what was going on hundreds of millions of years ago.

If it weren't for the fossil records and ice cores we'd know even less.

    Really.

Name something the climate alarmists have been correct about in the last 60 years.

What "fact" would you like to push onto the table?

    That's an interesting argument.

What would we do if an asteroid was traveling directly towards the Earth at 30km per second.

I do love that you tied climate change to the analogy though.

It's appropriate, but not in the way you meant.

How does "warming go against the natural cycle" when we're 30 seconds out of an ice age in geologic time.

LoL you just advanced a theory that "climate deniers" are out there bribing scientists?

Since your knowledge of these shadowy organizations that are trying to bribe scientists and putting adds in Scientist of Fortune seems to exceed mine, maybe you could give me a few examples by listing the names of these organizations that are out-funding government grants.

Agreed .. and one of the most distracting things about the environmental effect of "Climate Change" is "Climate Change" --- things that make ya go "HMmmm"

In the rush and hype and apocalyptic excitement over increased CO2 emissions and the expected "warming" - which should more correctly be stated as "Increased energy" .. and related events .. one of which is an overall warming . which will be very slow until the ice in the glass of water melts

In the meantime - and in-between time .. the Oceans are dying ... current policy .. Beloved of Blue and the UE .. this grand plan to deal with AGW - can be referred to as .. "Not in my back yard- Dump it in the Ocean" a plan which seeks to transfer our pollution problems to other nations .. via industrialization of the 3rd world .. and that problem the real tip of the iceberg Blue desperately wants to ignore .. a plan which seeks to pollute the hell out of the Ocean .. and increases overall CO2 as an added Bonus ..

This grand plan .. over the last 25 years .. industrializing "Asia" - mostly China/India - a project which is perhaps 20% along the way .. CO2 emissions increased from 22 Billion tons/yr to 36 Billion tons/yr. .. Ocean Dead zones went from 100 to 400 . 400% increase ! .. one now the size if the State of New Jersey.

    wooo hoo ... Go Blue

Many lies .. one which is not a lie however is that mans activities are having an impact .. Everyone recognizes this 100% never mind 97.. only a complete idiot does not grant that our activities ... and biproducts of our consumption have at least some impact.. what is debated is how significant this impact.. and we seek to try and predict and measure .. there is no 97% consensus in this respect that I am aware of .. and if so what measurement .. beyond "some impact" .. showing significant measurable impact .. I am sure we could come up with some language that might fit .. that the significant increase in temp is occurring and we see this in melting ice caps is best one I can figure.

looking for significant effect here .. not just sig increase as in a graph of CO2 concentrations .. and it is not so simple .. to predict when the ice in the glass of water is going to be gone such that the temp of the water starts increasing.

What i can tell you though .. and measure .. is some of the impacts to the Ocean .. Narn whales up north .. where Persistant Organic Pollutants - Heavy Metals tend to collect .. levels of mercury experts say is near neurological impairment.

What Im saying is that we don't have to wait and guess in many respects -- it is happening right now. -- Bioaccumulation ... breast milk innuit women -- presumably the most pristine ecosystems up northern Canada - too toxic to put on store shelf .. small fish eat smaller fish .. big fish eat small - seal eat fish .. levels toxic through bioaccumulation.. interconnected in ways more-so than air.

Area's in the Ocean .. size of new Jersey -- said to you .. don't go there .. can't breath... huge area .. no go dead zone .. the "apocolypse" has already happend for the folks living in that region. No need to wait for the Ocean levels to rise a foot and a part of florida dissappear ..

We see some of the symptoms .. google Sargassum epidemic -- this stink weed that is washing up on the beaches in Florida Mexico and much of the Carribean.. grows in the anoxic zones .. smells like H2S .. kind of like the Blob this thing .. coming to a theatre in your town soon :)

Socialists and their marketing arm, AKA the media, have been working to destroy the family, religion, and any other authority that poses a threat to their authoritarian rule. They know that to cement their dictatorial position, they have to destroy any voice of reason to convince their subjects that big intrusive fascist government is the only thing that will save them.
In the meantime, Obama and Kerry, the voices of climate doom, moved to that underwater paradise, Martha's Vineyard. A case can be made that the climate hoax was designed to drive down the price of real estate in time for them to enjoy retirement bliss at a bargain prices.

People seem to be getting wise to the clowns in DC. The peddling of the deadly 'vaccine' to children who are not threatened by COVID but are threatened by the jab is falling far short of plans.

First, let's understand that you're asking me to look at your "global sales" numbers, and you don't say what they are. Don't ask me to research this, I'm not the one saying "becoming dominant".

Secondly, beyond mere vehicle numbers (yielding my one percent number above) however impressive they may be, it's the heavy truck numbers that you really need to explain. Long range all electric heavy trucks are virtually nonexistent, but each truck arguably has the impact of 10,000 passenger vehicles in energy use and highway damage.

All electric vehicles are a feel-good fantasy w/ little or no substance.

Personally I hope they push hard on EV's and all the leftists buy into it.

That way people living in CA can't take baths, flush the toilet, use AC, or charge their cars while dodging wildfires caused by the huge increase on their grid.

All while waiting 12 hours to get to a charging station with their charging coupons issued by the local "You Shall Obey" office.

    It's going to be hilarious.

Imagine their horror when they can't use their phones and have to wait a week for their Amazon deliveries.

The 97% figure was tailor made for popular media, just mindless enough to stir people up but not enough to educate them in any meaningful sense.

We were talking about the media and its motivation. From what I see, the media are types who would push their mamas down a flight of stairs to make a buck. Loyal to pols on the left or right? Nah.

And similar century-scale rapid warming episodes in the past.
No, that's not a concern at all because increased methane, like CO2, does not have a significant effect on the IR absorption of ordinary sea level air, and it oxidizes quickly. And melting permafrost means it becomes a carbon sink again. So, no.
