    Hey all,
Here's a comic which I thought poignant enough to introduce to the discussion around evolution. I'd like to point out that this is by no means aimed at the bulk of debaters, but I thought it funny enough to put here anyway. The punchline is quite unrelated to the debate, but I believe the rest sheds some light of the veracity of certain kinds of arguments.

As I have pointed out, while I find the comic funny, the basis of the discussion should be whether all questions asked by all sides in the discussion are really valid in the process of honestly examining a subject. Don't get me wrong, all questions are valid and deserve answers, but we shouldn't think that leaving any of these questions unanswered puts any dents in the presented theories.

That was awesome, and the punchline was hilarious. Thanks for posting it.

That is funny, although I'm beginning to question the accuracy of our theory of evolution. One thing is for certain, they have yet to find a link that connects us with other primates, yet this doesn't mean that a connection doesn't exist after all God works in mysterious ways. . The only thing that puzzles me about God, is why did He create mosquitoes and cockroaches? Was it to annoy us? :roflol:

One thing is for certain there are plenty of transitional fossils. Every time a new one is found the science denialist claim there are two more missing links. The fossil evidence is conclusive and overwhelming but its not the only evidence.

"[T]hey have yet to find a link that connects us with other primates" might be true if you ignore the genetic evidence. The fact that our DNA is 97+% identical to that of chimpanzees, and that we share 16 or so endogenous retrovirus sequences, make it pretty hard to deny that we share a relatively recent common ancestor with other primates.

See that's the problem thinking a God created everything because now there has to be a why. And if there doesn't have to be a why there doesn't need to be a God.

    Awesome comic.

    Taxonomy and genetics.

    What else do you need?

"beginning"? I have a hunch you have questioned it for a long, long time.

The thing is....often lost (or subtlely ignored) by those disagree with evolution?

It doesn't "disprove God"...merely the Bible's account of "Creation" in Genesis. There's nothing saying "God" couldn't have created the processes needed for evolution, or even "nudged it along" if you like, the ID Argument...mind you, this is NOT why "Intelligent Design" is being pushed.

ID is merely "backdoor creationism"....from Religionists who want to keep God in the mix, while acknowledging Genesis as myth, because they know tthat Bible literalism is silly and unsupported by facts and evidence.

(BTW, the ID Argument can be argued elsewhere...primarily on the philosophical "need" for a "Designer", when paleontological evidence shows that "He" is a VERY bad Designer given he spent 300 million years on dinosaurs. :) )

But on Creationism itself?....this is merely the argument of people who DESPERATELY hold onto the idea that a 3000 year old tribal creation myth is "actual history"....because any suspicion on the accuracy of the Bible in the Old Testament...raises suspicion of its accuracy in the NEW Testament just as easily.

Disprove Genesis?...then Exodus falls away...Joshua....Jonah.....and suddenly you're bumping up on Luke, Matthew and the Boys and asking "Hey....if God didn't create the Earth 10,000 years ago...how do we know Jesus walked on water?"

Might be true if it were true.

Not really. Creo-questioning of ToE? It is like a first grader "questioning" calculus. Neither has a clue what it is they'd think they are "questioning".
