In spite of rumors claiming there is tension between Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer they always reminded me of Nancy & Sluggo:

If ever there were two comic strip characters working as a team in Congress those two fit the bill. The trouble with comic strip characters making laws is that they are a laugh riot when they are serious. Nobody can top Nancy on this one:

Sluggo came pretty close to exceeding his gal pal with this one:

In less than a week Americans will know if the Supreme Court thinks Nancy & Sluggo are funny.

Funny or not, Nancy ain’t the power she used to be. She is no longer the rising star she was years before she became speaker. Even worse than the loss of her star image she’s been exposed as a fool too many times for anyone to take her seriously again:

It is doubtful Nancy & Sluggo will lose their seats in November. Still, Nancy’s opponent, John Dennis, and Sluggo’s opponent, Anthony O’Donnell, do have a tool for pulling upsets. The ammunition to unseat Nancy & Sluggo will be provided by the High Court —— but only if Dennis and O’Donnell use it effectively.

Hillarycare II is one of those rare instances where a law will always be a liability to those who played a major role in passing it whether or not it stays on the books. Nancy & Sluggo are at least as guilty as is Hussein for ramming that terrible law through the House. Without them Hussein was harmless. Political justice will be served if the Affordable Care Act takes Nancy & Sluggo down with Hussein.

Finally, the MSM pampered Nancy since the day she arrived in Congress in 1987. Her transgressions, representing the United Nations, unethical conduct, and larceny, were apparent throughout those 25 years, yet they were ignored or swept under the rug. Irrespective of the MSM’s whitewashing job Judi McLeod remained her severest critic. Nancy’s idiotic defense of Eric Holder prompted this column:

    Pelosi whinnies from the pastures

If so many of today’s incumbent politicians are yesterday, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is the Day Before.

Surely the icing on the cake in 2010 midterm elections was the end to Nancy Pelosi as House Speaker. Though she’s tried ever since to advance the philosophy that being Minority Leader for the 112th Congress is just as good, Pelosi’s clout went out with the tide of 63 lost Dem seats.

Like the proverbial horse put out to pasture, Pelosi has been whinnying from a distance and pawing the fields with hooves no longer what they once were.

Some day in the not so distant future, the Obama regime will be recognized as largely the work of the unholy trinity of Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Senator Harry Reid with the sideline help of Obama czars. People will talk for generations about the evil they saw lurking in Obama’s eyes, and about the hard edge to Pelosi’s recognizably embittered voice as ex House Speaker.

Pelosi’s multiple regrets and embitterment are obvious to anyone who can bear listening to this week’s audio from a 30-minute press conference, in which she accused those seeking the truth about Attorney General Eric Holder’s role in the ongoing Fast and Furious gun walk investigation of being on a witch hunt.

“Contempt of Congress, contempt of Congress,” Pelosi said. “To frivolously use that really important vehicle to undermine the person who is assigned to stop the voter suppression in our country. I’m telling you, this is connected. It is no accident. It is a decision and it is as clear as can be. It’s not only to monopolize his time, it’s to undermine his name. To undermine his name, undermine his name, as he goes forward to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.” (Politico, June 21, 2012)

Lofty words from a career politician who decades ago sold out the United States of America to the United Nations.

Republicans are investigating Holder, Pelosi said, because they want to distract him from stopping voter suppression laws.

“They’re going after Eric Holder because he is supporting measures to overturn these voter suppression initiatives in the states,” she said. “This is no accident. It is no coincidence. It is a plan on the part of the Republicans.”

For all of her poisonous charges in a supra arranged press conference, Pelosi’s days of clout are day before yesterday. No longer do family and friends get to hear the first female Speaker of the House pontificate at large while sipping highballs on taxpayer-paid-for military jets.

In her diatribes against witch-hunting Republicans and her never-ending pitches for ObamaCare, people may forget Pelosi’s hardcore activist past. While Barack Obama was out agitating on the streets of Chicago, Pelosi was patiently shepherding the destructive UN Agenda 21 through Congress. On March 29, 1993 she introduced a joint resolution (H.J.RES166) to renew the call for the United States to “assume a strong leadership role in implementing Agenda 21 and other Summit agreements”, eventually gathering 67 co-sponsors for her bill, about 32 of whom are still in Congress.

In a speech entitled “From Swords to Plowshares, delivered in the House of Representatives on June 4, 1992,
Pelosi cheered the arrival of Gorbachev to the Presidio as a tenant.

“The National Park Service is actively seeking ideas for programs and tenants at this spectacular site. Last month, former Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev visited the Presidio to propose that the Gorbachev Foundation/use be located at the Presidio when the army leaves. In his words, “it is wonderful and symbolic that a military base is being converted for use by the people’.

“As the cold war ends,” Pelosi continued, “it is, indeed, fitting that this army garrison—one of the oldest in the United States—will be transformed to a monument to peace, environmental preservation and recreation as a global park.”

Less than a year after Pelosi’s fawning words, Gorbachev and his American pre-funded $3.5-million Gorbachev Foundation moved into new a white, shingled bay front house at the historic Presidio overlooking the Golden Bridge.

Next, avowed Communist Gorbachev brought his State of the Art Forum to the Presidio.

Pelosi’s power butt licking goes well beyond Obama and ObamaCare. Envelope licking is in part of her blood. Pelosi cut her teeth on political campaigns for her father, Thomas (“Tommy”) J. D’Alesandro Jr., Baltimore’s first Italian-American Mayor.

To many Americans it is poetic justice that in their lifetimes Pelosi ended up where so many envelope lickers end: the Unending State of the Ignored.
