During its history since 13 British colonies signed to be the foundation of what is called the United States of America, It has never been so divided like that. Racial lines divide the country on an unprecedented level. Black Americans are locked up in the victim mentality in the struggle against their shadow enemy of White supremacists.

The Democrat party politicians exploited Black Americans to gain votes. Movements like BLM and Antifa are an unusual gathering of Black Americans with their White counterparts. These White Americans locked up themselves in the victim mentality that they own Black America a reparation because of slave history. They even take a knee as an apology for that dark page of American history.

Everything so whatever going on in America right now reminds me of the rise of the Nazi party in Germany. Attacking the state, erasing historical symbols and statues, silencing opposition, vandalizing and looting stores, and using violence as a way to express their opinion. They even defund the police to allow their paramilitary militia to attack their opponents, sounds familiar...!!!

One of the problems of Black Americans is they blame the state for all their problems. Donald Trump is responsible for a high drop out of school, rising in single teen mothers, unemployment and a Black guy in Harlem decided to rape 64 years old woman. But when it comes to Obama and the Democrats, most Black American and their pro media are silent.

The system isn't fair. It is an undisputed fact. However, Americans belong to all races, and ethnic groups are suffering. We don't live in an idealistic society. The system isn't fair toward Latin and White Americans too. Actually, nobody has the right to complain about injustice more than Latin Americans. Media demonizing them all of the time. And some of the richest states belong to Latin Americans, Mexicans to be more specific. Imagine America without the states of Texas and California. However, Latin Americans call for LatinLivesMatter, they don't riot, loot and vandalize public and private property and they don't call for defunding the police.

No doubt the police in America need reform. No police officer should dress like a space soldier from Star Trek movies. No police department should own a submarine or armoured vehicles. American police are running wild, but their victims belong to all ethnic and racial groups not only Black Americans. Nobody talks about how Joe Biden as a senator was responsible for the worst crime bills legislated or enforcing the militarizing of the police. What did Barack Obama and Joe Biden as his VP do during 8 years in order to reform the police or abolish the No-Knock raids? The answer is nothing. How is that Donald Trump's fault?

    End

Absorb every 'police department' (including their budgets and resources) into an elected County Sheriff's Dept so they're actually beholden to a locally elected official who wins/loses election based entirely on how effectively they keep the peace.

I guess that would be 'reform.'

Always cracks me up when people talk about 2020 as a period when the country has "never been so divided" ... a pretty foolish statement
considering The Civil War and 600,000 dead Americans, or the 60's when there were lynchings and dozens of people shot in the streets, multiple assassinations and the Vietnam unrest.

It is a good suggestion. However, it comes with its side effects. People will vote against a Sheriff Dept that arrested their relatives for dealing drugs.

Thats fine. If the populous majority doesn't want a Sheriff who will enforce drug laws in their county, they should vote for one that won't. Thats what local representation is all about.

I live in a county where the Sheriff won't enforce certain gun laws. He's getting my vote.
