http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...-surviving-obamacare-debates-at-thanksgiving/ I do this as a public service to my liberal friends. This article provides most talking points needed to try and save face at Thanksgiving. Hopefully, with these useful tidbits, you will be able to avoid mocking, ridicule, or possible tar and feathering........or worse. Enjoy!!
This could be very helpful to the thundering herd of libs who know where the herd wants to go but don't remember why they want to go there. An easily memorized list of talking points would be very helpful for them.
BS detector on high, I read this linked crap. BZZZZZZZZZT Medicaid is going gangbusters. The young marks, the stooges in this redistribution, aren't paying up. Many states are WAYYYY below expectation OR - ZERO. CO - half of their lowest projection. DING! ...followed by the BS. By 2017 this will be dead. The young will have fled. BZZZZZZT If you reduce payments you reduce supply. They are de facto death panels. This is acknowledged most everywhere. I can't take any more.
You know, Thanksgiving is a time for coming together, not to divide us over politics. Can't we just get along today?
Why are you asking us? It's your dear dictator in the White House who wants to enlist his loyal robots in a Thanksgiving Day blitz.
Irony of ironies being, if that push were successful on helping relatives sign up, using the holiday as an opportunity... it would crash.
Shiet dude. Young people are already having a hard time finding a job in Obama's economy. They are also less mobile. I don't think the top priorities of parents would be Obamacare when talking to their kids. I think the conversation would be "when are you going to move out of the basement?" http://thegazette.com/2013/09/08/young-unemployed-and-in-debt-millenials-face-lackluster-job-market/ Or another conversation will be "so how's your job at starbucks???? Are you going to be able to pay your student loans this month???" http://minnesota.publicradio.org/display/web/2013/02/19/daily-circuit-underemployed-college-graduate Hhahahaahah.... stupid Obama supporters
You are aware I don't like Obama right? But I still think we should be able to come together for one day, as a family. - - - Updated - - - Only over the drumstick, and maybe the gravy.
I'm sorry, millions of people just lost their doctor and/or can't afford health care anymore. What were you saying about dividing America?
That we should have one day that we can look forward to coming together across the aisle to celebrate one of the most important events in American history.
Funny how coming across the isle always mean submission to the left. Ok everyone, just shut the hell up and eat your turkey. Nothing to see here.
Who said anything about submission? All I want is for everyone to put their differences aside and people to respect one another today. That's not submitting, it's being a good neighbor and member of your family.
That is what we are doing. Celebrating the grotesque failure associated with stupid ideas forced on the people with Gestapo flair despite our warnings. Your president has asked of you this holiday to discuss his (*)(*)(*)(*)ty (*)(*)(*)(*)ing healthcare disaster, and by God you will do it! http://www.barackobama.com/health-care-holidays/ They have a script. You are part of the PF family... now we are sitting around the table. Follow your instructions and broach the (*)(*)(*)(*)ing subject.
Who said I like what Obama said? In fact I just called him out on it.But seriously, we shouldn't be talking about politics today, we should be talking about how our aunt Smartie most likely made the best Turkey out there. Shangrila is doing the dishes while singing some sort of song, my guess hispanic. Redwolf is here making cranberry sauce while Grokmaster is trying to mash the potatoes but can't because well, he doesn't have very long arms. Or how we both got sick and Montra made us soup while mumbling to himself why the Cowboys were doing so bad. Then we have Toddw and Akphidelt both sort of tipsy already but whatever we know they get like this and we accept then to the table. Then we have the Swedish Guy at the kid table. Margot was supposed to be here by now but her plane got delayed due to a freak snowstorm and couldn't be here and thus spent the holiday in the airport. AndrogynousMale brought over his lady friend who struck up an intereseting conversation with the Sam's Ego. Wehrwolfen sprained his back getting the Christmas decorations up and is now has to spend Thanksgiving on the couch moaning in pain. Monotoya is in his room sulking like the hormonal teenager he is while Political Forum herself is telling him to get his butt downstairs to help set the table. But at the end of the day we all come together and have a wonderful Thanksgiving together. And of course everyone else is simply making themselves busy by drinking beer and not hating one another. And as Cennyd cuts the turkey, everyone fights over the drumsticks. You see, Thanksgiving on PF doesn't have to be about politics, it can be about the things that bring us together. Namely fighting over drumsticks but that's not the main point.
Nothing pisses me off more than running off with my idea... which was so going to end up in drunk Uncle Ctrl threatening everyones children at the kids table if they signed up for Obamacare, in Irish brogue... (I'll dent this li'l bastards head in SFFSFJS(*)(*)(*)(*)ever your name is... I'll fookin do it... you don't know me mate... I'll fishhook the toe headed (*)(*)(*)(*)... put the fookin tablet down) except perhaps for people trying to mutilate me with kindness. Happy Thanksgiving.
What is the big issue of multi-generation households guess what it used to be the norm with grandparents, adult children and their children in a home since economics demanded incomes of several people that is just the case now so what is the problem this is not a bad thing. As for owning a car what is the issue if your in many cities there are public transportation options I always took the bus services and it wasn't an issue one just has to plan their trips to best use the time and relax on the bus I read a good book making good use of my time. Seriously the economy is just shifting to a lower level where people should learn to live on more modest incomes and work less, and enjoy the freedom of more leisure time.
Ever occur to you that some people have (*)(*)(*)(*)ty parents? Some have abusive parents? Mehhh (*)(*)(*)(*) them right? There are so many holes in your subjective position, to address a lot of them might come across as personally insulting.
Yep, we need to live on less with less to do. Count me in. Where do I sign up to be one of the sheeple?
