Sorry if hit a nerve, venom.

The pbama supporters are the ones who originally started talking about Michelle amazing fashion sense. These threads continued it. Generally, IMO, her clothes are usually nice if they were all just one size bigger. Also, a woman with her proportions (big bottom and small boobs) can dress in a flattering way. Her clothes are perpetually more inclined to flatter a woman like myself (I can't say it even if it is true).

    May I contribute?

Stunning... I especially love the way the number is able to accentuate her earrings, which could normally be the most prominent and/or over-done accessory had their not been a garment that's able to catch the eye first. Her choice to wear her hair in an "up" style puts additional focus on her smile that can get lost in a bigger hairstyle we're most accustomed to seeing her in. Ravishing.

Oh but you're so wrong. First, the big plus here is the color of the dress. The style is boring, but the bright blue is one of her best colors. As for the hair, she ALWAYS looks better with bangs to soften her face.

I gotta add a little more honesty. The waist on the dress is too high, and it looks as if she actually smushes the girls down to fit into the top. Makes me wince a little. Let the girls BREATHE!

I suppose it's easy to assume that... but the term "outrage" is so overused these days.

In an era where young girls are struggling (and doing the most tragic things) to look a certain way for social acceptance, I could say groups of women huddling around to criticize the most immutable of circumstances is a bit... well, outrageous. I won't though... silly talk.

I don't think we should shy away from strong facial features... it's easy to get a sense of inner-strength when we observe Michelle. Additionally, the dress is far from boring... a transluscency it encourages as it gets closer to the ground (supported by a feathery garment arrangement) gives off a "light on her feet" suggestion. It's gorgeous.

Inner-strength? You are implying that one cannot be both overtly feminine and strong. Tsk. Tsk. The dress is boring because it has been done too many times. There's nothing new about this style at all.

We shouldn't shy away from that suggestion, either. Dainty isn't a word I've created, and it holds validity. While some women spill a sense of delicacy and elegance... others (like Michelle) are able to portray a noticeable sense of regal strength. After all, women are so diverse and lovely that it'd be criminal to put them all into a box.

Ahh, but if physique is critical to fashion (as some may believe by your previous accounts) it hasn't been done this way. There's a reason fashion columns compare the same dress on different women, no?

    Two different boxes, Venom. ;)

There's a reason fashions change often. They become boring.

Then Michelle should be praised for her efforts, especially given the the media's "particular" approach to using the term "fashion icon"... which has been extended her way. The look of the traditional First Lady has long been boring. Time for a change that most old fashioned folks aren't too comfortable with.

Absolutely. Now, if we could only get her to buy her clothes one size bigger.

Better yet...send her and her husband packing in November and we won't have to hear people proclaim her being a fashion icon. Which is very funny, in itself.

It sounds like you think it's strange we're interested, EVP. MANY fashion sites follow Michelle Obama... just like they've followed every American First Lady (even tho they weren't on the 'net back then... obviously). It's silly to get all defensive about a fashion discussion about a public figure. Women all over the world have done it for eons... we didn't invent anything here.

Here's a more 'adoring' source I use sometime... feel free to post as much as you like from sites like this. It's the pictures we're interested in... not the fawning gush.

Aren't you a male, dear? Do you scold women for being women in r/l? ;)

So according to reports, when Barack was a young man-about-town, his girlfriends told him "I love you" and he responded "Thank you."

LOL, no wonder we never hear about his old g/fs... all 0 of 'em.

The 'Mirror's got it figured out

LOL, while everybody's so outraged about the 'fish' shirt... it's actually a BIRD shirt. Geesh.

I will go on record as saying though the bird shirt does fit, it is just plain ugly. A waste of money and silk.

    From Michelle's Mirror:

OK now, that is another ugly dress. Very unflattering... the heavy fabric on the bottom only amplifies her ample bottom half. Who on earth advised her to wear that ugly thing! :eyepopping:

P.S. Do you think she's pulling that kid's head off? What'd he do... order a Happy Meal?

We'll definitely have to fumigate the WH once the Obama's move out. They've got absolutely no respect for their surroundings... it's no wonder they've got no real place to call home... they've probably trashed everyplace they've ever lived.

That ought to look great after the soccer clinic is over. Are they going to use the walls for backboards and stops? Yeah, fumigate and repaint after they're outta there. The dis-respect those two show for our White House and this country, in general, is disgusting.

We can always count on some of our Rightmost members to give us blasts from the past!

Those sack races just leave the walls black and the floors bare dirt!

Of COURSE the Obamas have "trashed everywhere they have lived". OF COURSE we will HAVE to "fumigate and repaint" the WHITE HOUSE after the Obamas leave!

Its TRADITIONAL! And NOTHING is more important to the Right than TRADITIONAL WAYS!

Good op to play the race card... but everybody sweats. The whole cast of Biggest Loser was white... what on earth does color have to do with playing sweaty games inside the People's White House?

    Seems racist to me.

Note the green shoes that match... the shrub, but nothing else.

Great pic. Barack should use it on a campaign poster. "Lady & the Rocket Scientist"
