10 Reasons why people vote democrat (From the Babylon Bee)
    ---
    1. They're dead: Hard to object to candidates like Joe Biden when you are no longer alive!
    2. They're Drag Queens worried about losing their God-given right to dance in underwear in front of kids: It's in The Constitution.
    3. Because Bono said that's what good people do: Listening to U2 was their first mistake.
    4. Still holding out for one of those free Obama phones: An iPhone 6! NICE!
    5. To convince others that they aren't Christian Nationalists: They're one of the "good" Christians.
    6. They live in Chicago and a stray bullet punched right through the "D" side of the ballot: It happens far too often.
    7. Their covid booster made them do it: Once the signal gets sent out, they have no other choice.
    8. They think elections are like golf and the lowest score wins: Elections are not, in fact, like golf where the lowest amount wins.
    9. Their mail-in ballot was already filled out in permanent marker: Now that's strange! Mail-in voting is the most secure kind of voting!
    10. Government spending and taxes make them feel all warm and fuzzy inside: As if we know how to spend our own money. The government knows best!
Now we didn't say these are good reasons, but now you know the top reasons why Democrats manage to still get votes.

Folks vote for democrats because they are too lazy to keep up, and it's what they were trained to do as children by the helpful teachers union representatives.....

    #2 is the scariest

It isn't like the drag queens are doing normal stuff with these kids. I saw a video where a trans woman was "educating" kids and took the wholesome song "if you're happy and you know it clap your hands" to "if you're happy and you know it SHAKE YOUR TUSH"

This was in front of 4 year olds.

I was fine with all this trans stuff until they started trying to sexually groom children

A vote for the left is 100% a vote for the sexual grooming of children. There is no way out of this. If you vote left, you are voting for that. SHAME

Maybe, but you would be describing the majority of American voters in every presidential election in the past 15 years.

It's happened to all of us. We get something neat, but can't be bothered with reading the instructions and following them, so we wing it.

    We have a great nation.
It came with a description of principle and purpose.
It came with a an excellent set of instructions for assembly and maintenance.

Most people haven't read them. Even fewer take them seriously- especially the people who should.
These are easily found today, so you can brush up and see why our nation isn't running right.
    Everything you need to know.

    Declaration of Independence.....
    Constitution of the United States.

It's possible that the world has changed more in the 250 years since those documents were drafted than it had in the previous 2000 years.

It's possible those documents need an update.

But the documents are solidly proven - those who would "update" them are not, and are wrong about most things most of the time.
The documents also allow for orderly updates and changes. Those who would "update" them actually see no reason for order... and think chaos works.
The only reason chaos is here today- is people who decided they are so smart they do not need to understand and follow the instructions were allowed to gain office and power... by fools who also don't read instructions.

These are the people who created our problems. If you won't follow the instructions, you are a fool to blame the instructions you refuse to follow for your failure. And nothing you might change will fix that person's mindset, meaning everything they come up with will fail for them as well.

IF ALL ELSE FAILS, READ THE DAMNED INSTRUCTIONS!
    FOLLOW THE DAMNED INSTRUCTIONS!

We've updated them many times since they were first drafted.

And we still don't follow them. End runs around the constitution are commonplace. Arguments about meaning of clear instructions, for example why "shall not" is not really a prohibition, but something vague, ambiguous and negotiable.

Rules do not work if you do not follow them. If you amend them stupidly, or for convenience, you have done harm, not good. Here's the mentality of it-

Meaning what? Things have changed. How do those changes require the US constitution to change?

So you don't think we needed any of the amendments that came after the bill of rights?

Never read the constitution, I see. Or just have no idea how the larger picture works. Amendments are passed when a sufficient number of people think they should be. The validity, the necessity of change, is the perception of the people. If our society degrades to the level of small children, we might wind up with amendments requiring free ponies for all, and prohibiting parents from setting bedtimes. A great system, and great plan- only works if you follow it. You can make a plan to get out of debt or anything else- and the plan, no matter how viable, is totally dependent on you following it.

On the other hand, if we can mature enough to realize that we must all recognize the most important values and live by them, the constitution could help our society grow to the benefit of everybody. The constitution is not a block of granite engraved with commandments. It's a living thing- that wisely is set up where it's not easily modified by foolish whims or ignorant minds.

Not the question asked. You suggested the constitution needs an overhaul. Are you suggesting that we do that constitutionally, by adding amendments, or not? What, specifically, needs to be overhauled? You have a list I'm sure.

Aside from the various issues, there are fundamental differences between the left and right in todays politics- and these can be described as Values and Vision.

Values, in that you must have a base of guidance, a set of virtually inviolate, consistent and respectable standards that all can trust in, and secondly Vision, meaning an objective defining the goals of the future. The two together create a plan to progressively achieve a better, stronger nation for everyone. That is something you build, and each day you either make it better or allow it to be eroded.

The left, the liberals, the progressives and the democrats who have allowed themselves to be caught up in that thinking- lack a set of values that are consistent. They values they serve are situational and self-serving as the moment calls for. They lack the vision- so they act as if every whim of the moment is more important than the objective of the future- which is invariably coming soon.

Every action and decision of today shapes tomorrow. When you botch the job today, tomorrow gets worse. If you keep doing the same thing and expect different results, every tomorrow gets worse.
That is decline; the only variable is the rate of it. There is only one end result.

You have got to have greater goals for the future, and the compass it takes to get there- the values you uphold; and you have to keep your eye on that prize everyday and with every decision. This is not to say that both sides don't fail in this to some extent- but that one side seem to embrace it, while the other rejects it. One side knows they must build a good future, the other side thinks they are entitled to it and someone owes it to them.

The people need to make a decision as to which is more important - the emotion and impulses of the moment, or the state of the nation of the future.
