The following is an audio link to Mark Levin's Monday show. Please listen to the first 30 minutes. He goes over much of the controversy concerning Republicans, Democrats, amnesty and the Hispanic vote. It is some good stuff, and is commercial free. It goes to commercial, but then comes right back.

Some points from the first 30 minutes:

    1) Republicans have never received more Hispanic votes than Democrats in the last 40 years or so, even when Reagan implemented a limited amnesty, so passing comprehensive immigration reform is not important for Republicans, as far as votes are concerned.

    2) Comprehensive immigration reform, including amnesty, should not ne implemented before the border is truly secure, and E-Verify is implemented nation-wide. Border security was promised to Reagan. That is why he agreed to the limited amnesty. Unfortunately, it did not happen.

    3) Obama has not done more than other Presidents to deport illegal aliens. He has done anything but that. Old link: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/201...immunity-to-younger-immigrants/#ixzz2JJYNyyXk. He also has suspended local and state law enforcement from enforcing immigration laws.

    Your thoughts?

Senators hopeful of comprehensive US immigration reform by summer
29 Jan, 2013, WASHINGTON: Influential US Senators hope to have a comprehensive immigration reform in place by this summer, which could legalise 11 million undocumented workers and address the issue of long wait for permanent residency.

January 29, 2013 - President Obama hit the right notes when he made the case for overhauling the immigration system in a speech in Las Vegas on Tuesday. He spoke one day after a bipartisan group of eight senators released their own blueprint for a comprehensive reform bill, and the back-to-back events gave the odd sensation — rare during the Obama administration — of seeing Congress and the White House moving in more or less the same direction.[/b]

All I know is that Obama wants amnesty while promising border security. I don't trust him. Why should we trust an Administration that does not abide by the rule of law, makes executive orders to get what it wants in defiance of the Constitution, and ties the hands of the States to enforce immigration laws? The only reason why Reagan ever reluctantly agreed to amnesty back in 1986, was because he was promised a secure border. It did not happen, and has not happened to date.

Senators hush-hush as they craft immigration bill
9 Mar.`13 WASHINGTON (AP) — The eight senators meet in private several times a week, alternating between Sen. John McCain's and Sen. Charles Schumer's offices. They sit in arm chairs arranged in a circle and sip water or soft drinks as they debate temporary workers and border security. In a capital riven by partisanship and gridlock, they are determined to be the exception and actually get something done.

The answer is simple: Illegal immigrants can't vote, won't vote and have no influence at all in political affairs in the USA.

What is going on is a campaign to foment the legalization of millions of illegal immigrants to favor several private interests, like some politicians trying to surge using the support of those potential voters some years from mow. We must understand that such an amnesty will give Permanent Residence status to illegal immigrants, but that they can become US citizens in the following 5 years.

Other people taking advantage of such an amnesty are lawyers. They are getting rich by taking cases of illegal immigrants becoming permanent residents in the USA. These lawyers are so corrupt that I know the case of one of them getting arrested because he was giving them false green cards. Their "game" to increase their profit is to "convince" any US citizen to hire the illegal immigrant with the argument that "no other person may perform such a duty of work". After this petition, the lawyer make public an employment ad like the following: House maid needed... must clean the house, take care of 5 children, cook, do the laundry, take the children to school, must be capable to lift 50 lbs boxes in a daily routine, must have knowledge and experience cleaning swimming pools... etc...etc... $7.85 per hour..."

As they are sure that nobody will show up for such a job offering, the request of legalization of the illegal worker is a sure winning situation. Of course Immigration Services are so stupid that they always fall in such a trick.

Other people taking advantage of such amnesty are business owned by immigrants who became permanent residents. They own restaurants, clothes stores, etc. We have Latino TV channel owners who want more audience for their programs. All these people create "another country inside the USA" instead of assimilating themselves to the US culture, something that is not "diversity" but isolation and or separation. We have several places inside the USA that are practically small Mexican cities, where the flags outside the houses are from Mexico, El Salvador, etc. rather that the US flag... and authorities do nothing.

The assumed Immigration Reform must be the one that stops completely any attempt of the illegal immigrants to become permanent residents.

You stop them to become legal residents and in a few years their illegal entrance to the USA will diminish over 70%. You start a program to impede them to ask for any social service and millions of them will go back to their country of origin without being deported.

Amnesty is the worst tool to stop illegal immigration, and will be a demonstration that Congress is afraid of illegal people, that illegals without the power of vote are in control of the US Congress... who is daddy now... illegal immigrants of members of Congress?

And worst, such an amnesty is the suicidal act that will push the USA to the worst bankruptcy that ever happened... the new millions of legal residents will start to collect unemployment because such will happen after they stop charging you $10 per hour for heavy duty work. Their women, who usually are not married but live with their men, will start to collect social services for each child, and they usually have more than five children... they practically will suck the funds of Social services in all kind of aspects...

And after they become dependent of the US government "by right" of being legal residents, there will be a need of more illegal immigrants to work for $10 per hour... a never end story.

Look, stop giving them legal residence by any means, stop giving US citizenship to the children if illegal immigrants born inside the USA, and they will come no more... because this is the Immigration Reform that is needed to protect the USA from illegal entrance of people, the zero tolerance action that will deny any possibility for these people to "invade" the USA.

By the way, yesterday in the mall, in a line to pay for goods, this is the conversation I heard between a woman with two children and a man...
-Hola, como estas?(Hey How are you?)
-Bien, me enter[e que vino Yesenia (Fine, I just heard that Yesenia arrived)
-Si, hace dos semanas (Yeap, two weeks ago)
-Ya tiene papeles (Has she obtained her documents already?)
-Si, la llevaron a la Columbia Road (Yes, she was taken to Columbia Road... 'In this street illegals can buy social security numbers for 50 bucks')
-Donde estas trabajando ahora? (Where are you working now?)
-En la universidad de Maryland, y tu?(In American University, and you?)
-En Tysons Corners (In Tysons Corners)...

And so forth. It is understandable that they work as janitors and probably are using stolen social security numbers to get the jobs...

And these are the people that Obama and some other politicians want as the future US citizens...

That's what I find so hard to understand. Why do we want millions of new Americans who are criminals? I understand that some illegal aliens are paid cash under the table, and there are probably a few visa overstayers who are working with actual tax ID's or Social Security numbers, but it seems the vast majority are working with fake documents. Fake ID and fake SS numbers. That's a felony. I just can't wrap my head around the idea that letting millions of felons become citizens as a reward for their criminality is a good idea.
