Jesus didn't found any religion. Religions are RESTRICTIVE and DIVISIVE, Jesus never proposed to divide men into silly little man made cults, based on devastating man made dogmas.

Jesus was a great prophet, and I am not versed enough on the life and teachings of Mohammed to judge HIM as a prophet. But in terms of what MEN have done with both Jesus' teaching and Mohammed's teaching, both religions are guilty of extreme cruelty that in NO WAY pleases God or his prophets.

 

Yup, but unlike the Crusaders, and the Christians, the Muslims are murdering thugs today not centuries ago.

 

Jesus founded His Church. Christianity is Biblical Judaism fulfilled.

Jesus is restrictive and divisive. Jesus divides His sheep from the goats, the wheat from the tares, His people of righteousness from the wicked.

You will find out exactly HOW restrictive and divisive Jesus is on Judgment Day.

You are not "well versed" to speak about Jesus and Christianity either.

 

So. . .you really believe that we are not seen by the Muslims as murdering thugs when we invade and attack their countries?
By the way, if the Christians had not been murdering thugs for centuries, maybe we could live side by side with even the most extreme Muslims with a minimum amount of respect and in peace.

Incorrect, like much of the blabber from people who think they know what Jesus taught but don't have the first clue. Jesus said, "Don't think I came to bring peace. I came not to bring peace, but a sword, to divide. For I have come to turn "'a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law-- a man's enemies will be the members of his own household." (Matt 10:35-37) And this just an example of many in which Jesus differentiated those who follow him from those who don't. You might want to actually read the gospels, it's a real eye opener for those who think they know the teachings of Christ.

 

Dear, having been born in a country that is (or at least was!) 95% Catholic, having spend 12 years (3 of those years in boarding school) in a Catholic school run by nuns, with Jesuites and Franciscans as members of the teachers' pool, having been molested as a child by an elderly Catholic priest, and having been spoon fed all the ridiculous man made dogmas (and I mean MAN made, as none of those were established by women) that made up the catechism, I am well versed on the ludicrous beliefs that hold us back as children of God from understanding the true meaning of ONE God, a LOVING, Forgiving, God, a God that gave us the ability to think independently and the gift of free will. . .not the "CHURCH's" will!

And what "flavor" of Christianity do you believe is "Biblical Judaism fulfilled?"

The early version that gave birth to the "holly Catholic Church?" Or the one adjusted by a pervert King in England who wanted to discard his wife as an old sock to take a younger one. . .therefore found a "new path" to Christianity? Or maybe you're talking about the Westboro Church, who rejoice at the death of our soldiers as a "just punishment for the sin of homosexuality in our world?"

Yep, that mentality is so stupid - that any time a member of a minority does something bad, it must be the fault of the "big bad white/Christian/male/rich/etc majority for being so mean to them". So basically they claim to care about minorities, but only from a patronizing POV in which they view minorities as too unintelligent/savage/incompetent to be held accountable for their own behavior. They claim that conservatives are racist, but think that a black man or a Muslim is too uncivilized and backward to be in control of his own actions, and therefore all his bad choices are the fault of 'big bad whitey'.

Well then I guess we can just go in the opposite direction and say "groups like the KKK and the Neo-Nazis wouldn't exist if liberals weren't so hypocritical and didn't blame white or Christian people for everything bad that minorities do, derp".

And Matthew put his own interpretation on whatever he heard (or didn't hear) from Jesus.

I have no more faith in the new testament's recollection of Jesus "words" than I do in the old testament.
Errors in translations alone (without even looking at personal bias slipping in the translations) can decrease the validity of the "spoken word" by half.

And NOTHING was written during Jesus' life. . .but it was all from what those disciples REMEMBERED! Then it was translated a few dozen times from dead language to more dead languages before finally being translated in dozens of current languages, each one giving about a dozen more translations.

Hm okay then by your standard, assuming I had some great great great Christian or Jewish ancestor who was killed by Muslims in the Middle Ages - then I could go out and beat up some Muslims, and it wouldn't be my fault - it's the fault of those "big bad Muslims" for persecuting my poor Jewish or Christian ancestors.

That's how you guys think. Ironically the way you guys think isn't that far off from how Neo-Nazis or Stormfront members think - a lot of them sit around blaming white racism on how 'persecuted' they are by reverse-racism, affirmative action, etc. The liberal mentality that minorities' wrongdoings are the fault of 'persecution' by the white, Christian, etc majority isn't that much different from the mentality of those kooks- the only real difference is that the races or religions are reverse.

None of those were the Muslim genocide that killed 270 million people around the globe for 1400 years. An astounding record that if you took all the relatively small things you just mentioned, and multiplied them 40 times over,they still wouldn't add up to Islam's horrific bloody record.
In addition, with Islam, we have all the wife-beating, pedophilia, kidnapping/slavery, torture/mutilation, gay killing, apostate killing, and animal cruelty-killing by the millions that happens in a single day, Eid al Adha. and it just so happens that Muslim barbaric day falls on Oct, 26 this year. That starts in exactly 5 minutes from now. And over the next 24 hours, millions of innocent animals (mostly sheep, goats, and cattle) will die painful deaths for no reason at all, due to the uncivilized, barbaric savages who infect the world, known as Muslims. Sad. Very sad. I hope the cops catch a lot of them doing it, and arrest them. They did catch and arrest some of them here in Tampa, FL last year.
